Things I liked: Sparkling water dispenser was nice, rooms were classy, table was large and spacious, beds were comfortable, rooms were quite high tech with touch screen controls (maybe even too high tech), wonderful balcony view, shower tub was useful for shower or bath/hot tub, welcome fruit was a nice touch, provided coffee and tea with electric kettle were great. Luggage storage wears helpful for further exploring the city on check out day. Things that could be better: Gym hours were limited and later access would have allowed me to use the facilities. The entrance was hard to find at first since I needed to exit the mall and reenter from outside.

The room is extremely dark even with all lights in. Staff are professional in a way but they are definitely not consider as "friendly." Also, they are extremely pricy, so with a rate like what they offer, I would choose their neighbor, same building, similar pricing, less luxurious but definitely more welcoming and comfortable

The property is in an excellent location, very near the Taipei Main Station, and just beside a mall where you can access the subway.The VIP room is quite big.They have a very good breakfast buffet.The staff are very kind,friendly,polite and very helpful.Highly recommended.

I had an exceptional overnight stay at Palais de Chine Hotel. The luxurious atmosphere and attention to detail truly stood out. From the seamless luggage service and efficient check-in to the thoughtful touches like fresh glass-bottled water in the room, everything felt personalized and refined. The turndown service, complete with perfectly arranged curtains and bed, added to the comfort, and both the shower and the bath tub were indulgent highlights, complemented by the plush robe. Breakfast was a delightful experience with a wide variety of delicious options to suit all tastes. The location was incredibly convenient, with easy access to public transportation and a direct connection to Qsquare Mall. Overall, a flawless experience that I would highly recommend!

Located in a very convenient spot, the hotel provided a pleasant touch with a fruit plate in the room upon arrival. The bathroom setup was unusual. The bathtub was right next to the room door, separated only by a curtain—there was no actual bathroom door.

Hotel Looks Interesting But Impractical

I have an average rating because there are many functional and practical problems. It should have been a lower rating but service is good and interesting looking hotel compensates it. The hotel is nicely themed and artistic that at first impression looks cool, hip, and interesting but once you start experiencing the room, then you find the problems. First of all the hotel is very dark and difficult to read the signs, room numbers, or read in your room. The bathroom looks cool at first but not practical. The tub is right next to the entry door and wide open to be seen from the corridor. The tub is hard to climb in and is slippery with the drain spout in the middle so you could nit your toes. The sink has no countertop space. The mirror has a light that stays on all night and is bothersome and I couldn’t sleep at all - the room is bright. The toilet has a sensor that turns on the lights so the other person is bothered at night. Maybe okay if you’re by yourself but not for couples. The closet sliding door closes off the coffee and tea area when opened and vice versa so you can’t access both sides at the same time - very impractical. The room lighting is complicated and confusing and we couldn’t turn off all the lights to sleep. We tried everything and all the buttons but there are still lights on so we did not sleep at all. Not a good experience and I was expecting more for this hotel brand and price. I’m not staying here again and not recommending it.

Traffic noise on 10th floor Hotel is clean and room spacious. Lovely staff. But please do something about your lighting in all public areas. You think you are providing a warm or romantic atmosphere or like a museum. But I have never been to a hotel where all public places are so DARK. ! I could hardly read to sign at reception. It was also so difficult to read the room number! Even the breakfast room is dark.
