I love the ambience, lightings and Christmas decorations at Palais de Chine. The service provided was exemplary. All the service staff, from the doormen, housekeepers, service staff at the lift lobby to those at the reception, always greeted us with a warm smile. The family twin room is spacious and clean. The toilet is fitted with bidet functions, adjustable settings for water pressure and temperature, a heated seat and air deodoriser. There is a bathtub and a separate shower beside it. The aircon and lights could be voice-controlled, which was convenient. I loved the complimentary tea provided, especially the Peony Pekoe. The beds and pillows were comfortable and despite being a light sleeper, I slept well every night. I look forward to stay at Palais de Chine again.

Across the street from Taipei station. Transportation-wise, this is as good as it gets. Excellent breakfast buffet included in my nightly rate; however, I may eat somewhere else if I have to pay separately since there are countless eateries around. I think the buffet is around $30. The room is a little bit damp, a separate dehumidifier would be nice.

Clean, friendly staff, close to Taipei Main Station, huge variety at breakfast buffet. Lighting is a little dark and the room lights are a puzzle, but otherwise great stay.
