Some of the receptionists aren’t friendly. I asked if I can request for a late check out but the guy receptionist said he cannot grant it due to high demand on the day we are leaving. So I went back the following day and found a different receptionist and this time she granted my late check out request. That guy looks stressed and was not even giving me an eye contact. Overall, the hotel is cery convenient to everything.

We booked 9 deluxe king rooms which is 391 square feet. But when we checked in, without any explanation or notification, they allocated 4 of the 9 rooms as 323 sq. ft. superior double rooms. The two types of rooms have different sizes and prices. After we realized it the next day and expressed our dissatisfaction with the hotel's downgrade, the hotel reluctantly let us change two rooms back to our original booked size rooms and said that no compensation could be provided. This is not the way a five star hotel treats its guests. If you are a foreign tourist, I suggest you don't choose this hotel.

Lacking privacy

The bedroom was great but I didn’t care for was the setup for the shower room and bathroom. The shower room was enclosed with clear glass door and the sink was separated from the bathroom, fronting the bedroom. Very inconvenient and lacking privacy

EXCELLENT LOCATION

Perfect location as hotel is located just across the main station. Also a lot of malls within the immediate vicinity. Room was large with complete amenities. Excellent over-all.

Stayed in this very hotel 10 years ago , it definitely aged . Still nice but aged . The hotel has very elegant old Chinese antique decorations but with very dark lightenings although in a way good but making me feels like to hide dirts . Room is small and the bed is way too soft for me . Having difficulty to fall asleep . You see tears and wears here and there . Breakfast is excellent with authentic Chinese flavors and receptionists are all polite and helpful . This is a hotel behind Taipei train station so it is convenient and connected to a big shopping mall . You have plenty to do if you are a shopper but busy and always crowded …

Water pressure was ok not strong. Did not like the tub shower you have to climb in. (Quite deep) and next to the door. Dining option in hotel was al la carte, No buffet per front desk maybe is because next to the mall. More eating option in the area. Notice reduction was great, comfortable beds.staff were nice and professional.

At first thought the rooms were really dark and sad, but gotta say, it was so quiet, clean, beds were soft, and location was great next to main station. Staff was super attentive. At first was jealous other hotels gave instant ramen as free snacks, but after couple days in Taiwan, I really liked how palais de chine gave free fruit as snacks to help with fiber intake lol. It was a very comfortable stay and I would recommend staying here to others!

Check in issue

The lady who assisted us check in gave us very bad attitude. Even if she had a bad day, she shouldn't show in front of their royal guests. Besides that, everyone else is very polite and doing an excellent job.
