Good location, friendly staff, average cleanliness
Solid 3.5-4* review. Large hotel in a great location with plenty of food options in the area. Staff are lovely, helpful and speak good English.
Stayed in 2 rooms in the Annex Building across 5 days.
The first room was a no-window room on the 9th floor. Very large room with a huge bathroom. Did not feel claustrophobic at all. Good solid Aircon and spotless bathroom. Carpets and furniture tell their age but did not find it an issue. The sound insulation was perfect, we did not hear a pip.
The second room was on the 2nd floor. Allegedly a higher tier room (with higher pricing). Oddly, slightly smaller in size and roughly in the same condition. This room also had a fridge whilst the previous one hadn't. Unfortunately, the bathroom cleanliness was average at best and felt slightly run down. This room also had a window facing the gap between the annex and the main building. As a result, the sound insulation was not great and you could hear the cars driving down the road.
I would stay again and I definitely recommend the hotel. But the level of cleanliness seems to be a bit of a lottery 😅 . Personally I much rather preferred the windowless room on a higher floor.
