From the outside this hotel looks okay, but when the rooms are about the size of a small bedroom and seems as though it may have been a home converted. The doors are made of plywood extremely thin and only has a push lock on the handle. I did not feel very safe or secure with leaving items in my room.
We were too early for check in but was allowed to leave our luggage there instead. Staff were friendly and they helped us how to get around and even provided maps. We were short on TWD and it so happened that it was a public holiday there so banks were not opened, but the staff tried their best to call up the nearest shopping area with a money changer. Kudos to them going the extra mile to help us.

nice & the price is reasonable
it's clean n basically quiet. the location is convenient for taking bus or parking scooters. Staff is friendly, but breakfast is nothing. That's fine, u can eat various food in Shilin.
The hotel is only accessible via taxi or public bus. Though it's in Shilin it's not near to Shilin downtown.
The hotel room is small. It's clean, except that the pillows smell a bit.
It's a nice cosy hotel tucked at the side of an alley. Definitely one of the cheapest rates for a one to two nights stay. Ideal for backpackers or couples. 1-2 person travelling together. There is no lift so you got to climb a flight of stairs. Only 3 floors, easy. The hotel staff was super nice to carry my luggage all the way to the 3rd floor for me! Kudos dude! Very informative receptionist, know everything you need to know on where to go in Taipei. The room is compact but has everything you need and comes with a big bed just for one person. Only down side, nothing to do around the area and it's slight away from the main districts of Taipei. But transportation is cheap and easily accessible so no worries. If you like, get an Easy card for public bus rides. Have fun in Taipei! :)
This hotel is a little difficult to find. Make sure you have their phone number with you to call when you can't find it (like I did). Its closest MRT station is "Shilin" but you will need to take one of several buses that run very frequently along that route so it is convenient. It is a very basic hotel but if you're looking to save that $20 to $30 a night and don't mind a two-star hotel experience, then this place is perfect. I was on the uppermost floor so the WiFi was a little dodgy. The breakfast is toast with several types of spread. I think there was packaged coffee and tea too. There is much better breakfast about a 7-minute walk away. Like most Taiwanese people I have met, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in is at 4pm though so make sure you find something to do until then.

Budget Motel
Overall the the motel is OK with the budget price, room is small but enough with just sleeping. Do take note that it is near shilin but will need to take bus to & from the motel.
Though it was abit out of way to the nite market, room is pretty clean. And there was a service guy named Rex, very helpful. He help us to arrange for a transport when we tell him that we wanted to do abit of sighseeing. He recommended us a friendly taxi uncle to drive us to the places we wanted to go.Thanks Rex.

Cleanliness is good. Staff has good attitude. Breakfast provided is acceptable. Very convenient to travel around as the nearest bus stop is only 2 minutes' walk away. 3 stops to Shilin Metro Station. Overall is good.

More than expected for a budget hotel
The hotel is very decent. There arent that much to expect since a budget hotel but quite comfortable and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Nothing to see in the neighborhood. Close to the bus stop going to Shilin Station and National Park Museum.
The hotel is clean and the staff were extremely cordial and most helpful. Location wasn't too bad. Not that much to see if you feel like taking a stroll late at night as the neighborhood has mostly car repair places. Quite convenient as bus goes to Shilin MRT, and National Palace Museum. Overall I had a pleasant stay. More than I expected for a budget hotel.
Very bad hotel location, no elevator, too expensive

A clean very inexpensive hotel for a quick stay
The staff were most helpful. The room was clean and the appliance worked well. However, the bed needs a new firm mattress.

Decent & budget stays in Taipei
Since it's a budget hotel, can't expect much. am happy that the room is clean and comfortable, TV channels are comparable to those of 4-5 starts hotels, Only complaint was that nearby F&B outlet are lacking & inconvenient. Hotel's breakfast is so basic that as a visitor, I rather walk to some nearby shops to have it's local breakfast set instead.
