We had a great time at this property, the staff was very nice and accommodating. They even let us extend our check out time as we had a later flight. The food, the heritage it preserves and the history behind this hotel is simply fantastic. The only thing that i would have liked was if the hotel rooms were cleaner and rennovated. Rest, everything was good.

The displays on the history of the Grand Hotel are fascinating. The staff is helpful. The swimming pool is awesome.

A massive, well-maintained property, with a lot of interesting history. The corner suite is absolutely immense, both inside and out, and the breakfast buffet was the largest and most extensive we had ever seen. The Olympic-sized pool is immense, but a bit of a challenge to get to from the main lobby and there are no attendants at it. That said, it did provide a welcome relief to the heat and humidity of Taipei in August. We missed the hotel shuttle from the pool back to the main lobby one morning and a very friendly staffer drove us in a golf cart so we could get back in time — representative of the always-friendly staff at this property. We seldom stay at properties this large, but certainly enjoyed our stay.

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but this time I absolutely had to. I've been a world traveler for years, and I can honestly say this is the best hotel I have ever experienced. The service here is truly top-tier. The staff goes above and beyond, and it's clear they take immense pride in their work. My room was meticulously cleaned and tidied every single day, and they made sure I always had a fresh supply of bottled water on hand. Plus, they offer a complimentary shuttle to the nearest subway stations, which is a game-changer for getting around. The best part? All of these fantastic services are provided without any expectation of a tip. A huge shout-out to the entire staff—you are all superstars! The service here is a perfect 10 out of 10. And let's not forget about the pool—an Olympic-sized, five-meter deep masterpiece that is simply amazing."

We celebrated Father’s Day with the whole family and grandpa at the Grand Hotel Taipei. The hotel staff were extremely warm and friendly toward the elderly. In addition to a bathtub, the bathroom’s shower area was equipped with a seat and handrails, which was wonderful. From the balcony, we could even enjoy a view of Taipei 101.

This is a beautiful property ~ We enjoyed our stay. But we were disappointed the pool is a lap pool and not for relaxing. Drinks at bar are amazing. It is walkable to night market but only by set of stairs through park. However, they offer a shuttle…we learned this too late as we were not given this info at checkin.
