Very busy

This is quite a beautiful hotel, but tremendously busy with tourists. I was hoping to be able to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, but there are no places to sit down and the lobby is tremendously cold with the doors opening and closing so frequently.

Grand older hotel with lots of history! We enjoyed the grounds and gardens and walkable paths around the Hotel . Easy to reach from MRT stations using cab or the hotel shuttle . Lots of English speaking staff And lovely large updated remodeled rooms , we had a lovely stay ! We had afternoon tea in the Garden Cafe ( nice cake , little bit overpriced ) Oh and the hotel messaged me thru Expedia app to clarify my reserv also,

Upgraded to balcony view room. Good view of the city and set back from the main building. Nice and quiet with no traffic outside. Huge room and very well equipped. Powerful shower and toiletries suitable for water hardness. Many restaurants of world class quality with realistic prices so eating in is not that expensive. Complementary outdoor parking with choices all over the complex. Complementary membership to Club with heated outdoor Olympic size pool.Frequent complementary shuttle bus to mass transit interchange makes it convenient despite being quite out of town, and paid bus transport to Airport three times a day. Busy neighbourhood suburb with original night market just downhill from hotel.It is an excellent place to stay and I am glad to stay here again after many years.

This is precious landmark hotel in Taipei just like a palace. The building is beautiful and magnificent. The room is quiet and comfortable. Bathroom has tub and separated shower room. If you do not have rental car, in order to go around in the city, you have to take hotel shuttle to go subway station. The shuttle runs daily every 20 minutes. I paid $25 for breakfast, food has good varieties, but taste is average.

We enjoy staying at this hotel. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The views from the room balconies are great. Hotel staff is always friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful. The only thing that can be an issue is leaving the property if you don’t have a car. At times the queue for the shuttle is very long and you have to wait for the next shuttle. Same thing for taxi service…the queue can be long and/or there are no taxis available.
