Great hotel. Room and bathroom are big and comfortable. The hotel is pretty new and modern. Staff is very polite and helpful. 3 minutes walking from the train and bus station. Highly recommend staying here.

Love it!! It’s a wonderful hotel, the staff was very nice with us and the location is great too.’ The hotel is just a few minutes walk from bus & train Stations, ideal if you’re planing to do a day trip to the surrounding area, which is highly recommended.

What a great little hotel! It's a little off the main street, so it's quiet and peaceful, but cross the main road, and you'll be right in the heart of the action in Takayama with restaurants, bars, and shops. Parking is quick and easily accessible as well. The hotel is well-appointed and clean, the staff are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, and they provided great tips. Highly recommended!

We loved The Ascend, very close to the train station and downtown. The staff was great, shout out to Kumon who was of great help recovering my daughter’s lost backpack. Absolutely recommend it… best stay in Japan!

Lovely modern hotel! Our room was spacious by Japanese standards, staff were always eager to assist. Breakfast came in the form of bento sets, both Japanese and western options were delicious. Will stay again if I am in the area.
