Its proximity to the ropeway was the biggest catch. They have a true onsen but sadly people are naked and donโ€™t wear clothing and modesty is not followed . The staff are great and speak good English. The breakfast is generous but doesnโ€™t quite fit the foreign pallet . Recommendation is that enjoy the delicious bakery items in the ropeway eateries .

Hotel Hotaka is just about 50m from the ropeway station. The bus stop right beside the hotel. A very cosy and nice hotel with nice indoor and outdoor hotspring.

Nice hotel in a beautiful area. Staff was great and everything was clean. Everything is quite dated however and the location is pretty far from most things in the area. It seemed a bit expensive for what it was.
