Very pretty room, but so poorly setup as to be almost unusable. AC had trouble coping during the day. Possibly because it hadn't been serviced for a long time. Filthy intake. Only usable powerpoint in the room was adjacent to the hand basin in the bathroom area. Not good. The pretty veranda was unusable. Either in direct sunlight, or getting rained on. Restaurant provided a good breakfast, but in the evening, food was mediocre at best, and hugely overpriced. To add insult to injury, service charge and tax was also added. Restaurant next door along the beach was far superior food quality, and a quarter the price with better service. Not surprisingly, will not return.

Absolutely beautiful resort from our pool access room, to the beautiful tropical grounds, the amazing food in the resturant and the friendly staff who always greet you with a smile. Beautiful large infinity pool down near the beach was lovely. Very quiet resort adults only. Amazing small resturants and massage out on the beach if other options are wanted to try.

Quaint hotel with a magical pull
Boutique oasis virtually hidden from the beach and road yet with gardens true to the tropics. Some of the rooms are showing their age but, for us at least, it is a small price to pay to stay in a price of heaven. Pleased to see them adhere to ‘adults only’ The beach is 5km of white sand often with less than a dozen people on it. Fantastic food can had in the hotel and along the beach. As a repeat visitor I’m delighted to see stylish new parasols and smart beds. The WiFi infrastructure has been improved tremendously too. With true gigabit WiFi available within a twenty minute stroll (Ma Ma Lak) the in-house will certainly deliver on most of your needs. Despite staying at other places in the region we were again pleased to have stayed at Bangsak Village Hotel

Amazing location on the beach with local beach restaurants to walk to. Amazing hotel that has concentrated on keeping the landscape natural. It is stunning. The pool is gorgeous and just off the beach.

Tropical oasis. Quaint peacefulness.
We have stayed before and will again. Much of the hotel is aged now but to us that’s part of its charm. The gardens are superb, the staff genuinely friendly and the atmosphere perfectly tranquil. The showers and baths are excellent whether your stay in an older or newer room. The chefs work hard but then they have to with excellent options within walking distance (south!) along the long perfect white sand beach. What needs improvement: •mattresses far to bouncy for most •WiFi is very poorly configured and deployed. The hotel actually does have decent speed (70mb +) and bandwidth but the login process is archaic and offers no security at all. The deployment around the hotel and its grounds is hugely frustrating and with simple changes, by a competent professional, could be much improved. Tip: if you need to work do so at night in the lobby and don’t expect to stream in the evening.

I came for 2 nights ended up staying 8; clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff; not an extensive but cozy, clean and exclusive enough beach; eco-friendly property. This is my second review as I kept extending my stay; I can only say good things about this place. Restaurant staff is so kind and attentive, I will miss their smiling faces.The pool is nice and well cared. I stayed in one of the round structure two floor huts, on the upper floor; each four them also share a pool, separate from the main pool. I loved my room and its lovely architecture. Bangsak is 16 minutes away by taxi from Khoa Lak center; which makes it even more quiet. I liked the peaceful atmosphere and the beach sunsets.

A good place to find your inner peace, relax and get rest. The rooms are clean and well cared for; the staff is friendly and helpful, the beach is clean and quiet. The cuisine is good, as a vegetarian, I feel like I live in a world of meat-obsession and this place has plenty of meat and fish dishes which I am sure are delicious but I could find my own niche of vegetables selection and could live with it. I originally planned to stay for 2 nights but now I am extending it to 4 more.15 minutes taxi ride away from central Lhoa Lak; which is ideal; they have shuttle in the evening if you want to mix in the flow there, night life and shopping. The premises is not too big, a bit cozy and smaller than the large holiday villages but sometimes that is what you need. The reception staff and restaurant staff are extremely nice and helpful.

Overall, we enjoyed our time at Bangsak Village. Although the staff had limited English at times, they were friendly and came alive when we used a translator app. The outlook onto the pool and being very close to the beach was great (we upgraded to the Chalet room and stayed in Room 101, which is the closest to the beach). It was relaxing lounging in the pool as you could see the outlook of the sea whilst being in the pool. A favourite was having a daily massage, which was well priced (400 baht for an hour), and we could charge it to our room. Thus, we didn't need cash to pay each time - very convenient. We chose the “Alovera” (Aloe Vera) massage as it had a pleasant aroma and included a mini facial when they put some of your face too. The restaurant’s Massaman Curry was so delicious we had it several days in a row. A little spicy with slow-cooked chunks of beef. Delicious! Versus our previous accommodation (mainly Aussies like us, Bangsak Village seemed to be favoured by Germans, making it challenging to have idle chitchat. But, this suited us as we wanted to chill and relax for our week’s stay. Happy hour for 3 hrs (2 for 1) was great - cocktails were good and well-priced (240 baht for 2). The resort is isolated (unable to walk to town), but they had bikes & car hire). For the price, Bangsak Village was a great stay.

Great location in a natural setting, very enthusiastic and helpful staff, wonderful pool and clean beach. The Chalet rooms are worth the extra. Food quality was good but could have done with more selection on A'la Carte menus. But there are local restaurants a short walk either side of the beach. Also try floating vegetables (see Google maps) a short scooter ride up the road.. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Lack of attention to detail
You can read all the good stuff elsewhere. This focuses on what they need to do better; which is very frustrating for a hotel that quite clearly has the potential to be fantastic. Water; why are you makIng such a half hearted effort with plastics? There are two fresh 500ml glass bottles in the room each day next to a 1.5 litre plastic bottle. If you want more water during the day the only possibility within the hotel is to but $1 500ml plastic bottles. When I explained that is not good enough, especially having seen the water drums that are delivered for kitchens at least they were honest enough to simply reply “economics”. The other really lazy thing that can be dealt with at little cost is the terrible eyesore of the poor quality black ugly flaccid parasols around the pool and on the beach and those outside the restaurant that were once white but now have mild and algae growing in them. I addressed this with the hotel at the time with the result being a single repair. None of this is to say the other positive reviews are false. I just expect it to be Right at $200 a night for a cottage A final point: most of the waiting staff were wearing Trainee badges so a accept their inconsistencies.

We stayed in the Bungalow which was roomy, however there was no seating in the room except for the bed. Bangsak Village location is too far out of town, and the hotel shuttle is not free and only goes once a day to the Village at 6pm. We opted for taxi's as that gave us more flexibility. The pool umbrellas could be larger for better sun protection. We were there for 7 days and the choices for breakfast were the same every day!

Brilliant holiday
We have visited several parts of Thailand but this was our first time to khaolak. We were not disappointed and had a fantastic time. Bangsak village is a brilliant hotel on the seafront. The setup of the hotel is lovely with rooms surrounded with plants and lots of wildlife. (butterflies, gekos and lizards) the hotel is very quiet and the staff are lovely. Breakfast has a good selection to choose from. Not like some hotels where there is an abundance of choice but I think this is better as the quality is very good. You could easily have a bare foot holiday as the beach goes on and on and is lovely to walk on any time of the day. The sea was the temperature of bath water. There are some restaurants on the seafront like the hotel restaurant and is fantastic to sit with a cocktail to watch the sun set. The hotel has a massage place that I used a few times. Very well priced and lots of choice. Book early as this did get busy. The hotel offers a shuttle to the night market in the centre of khaolak that we took advantage of twice during our visit and went for food and found a fab little bar. Personally I found the hotels animal's brilliant. A few dogs and a cat. All very friendly and very well kept. You could find the dogs just by some of the tables on the sand that would come for a stroke but did not fuss you while eating or at the hotel. I liked the fact the hotel had a little sign asking not to feed the dogs but making it clear the hotel fed them twice daily.
