I booked a Wildcard room which is a standard room. I received the room key, opened the door and someone else's suitcase was in the room. I went back to check in and explained the situation. They upgraded me to another older room but it was much bigger. It was very clean and the bed was very nice. It is a timeshare property so be ready to be bombarded with invitations to the timeshare presentations. They were extremely persistent about these. We weren't interested so we had to resort too lying and saying that we already had our free gifts. Other than that the resort was nice and clean but nothing spectacular.

No coffee machine and empty little refrigerator in the room the only thing that I did not like

The hotel is ideally located across the street from the beautiful beach with an excellent and attentive staff that is available 24 hours a day at the service desk to assist with any issue. It’s my 3rd time staying here and it’s always been an incredible stay that provides great accommodations at an excellent value in a highly popular area. If you appreciate a classic and simple boutique hotel with the Art-Deco design and style of quintessential South Beach, the Cavalier hotel is a great establishment to enjoy your Miami Beach experience.

When i arrived to the hotel I found out it was $50 per day for valet parking and there was no other option. When i got in my room the AC was barely working I asked someone to come look at it no one ever did. It takes a few hours to get the room temperature down to any decent temperature. Taking a shower there’s always water all over the floor whenever you’re done even though it’s sliding doors. Every day i was there i was always woken up to someone doing some type of maintenance with a drill. Very unpleasant stay
