Hotel Mar Rey was everything I hoped for and more. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Tamarindo and directly across the street from the beach with incredible sunsets every evening. The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and very affordable. The owners made me feel welcome and were incredibly helpful throughout my stay. I’ll absolutely be staying here again on my next trip to Costa Rica. Highly recommend!

Great location, room was always clean. Most comfortable bed of our entire holiday. Pool area is very nice. Older hotel and the street noise can be a bit much but was much quieter after Saturday. Very friendly staff and their dogs. Would stay here again.

Location is in the middle of pretty much the center of Tamarindo for whatever you need, carr was kept in a gated and fully secured parking lot. The pool and set up of the entire place was gorgeous, you wouldn’t need anything more.
