Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, and the breakfast was perfect. It's close to several restaurants, bars, cafes, and a grocery store. The beach and the main strip in Tamarindo are about a 10-15 min walk but we liked this as it kept it very quiet in the room. We stayed for 5 days without a car and did not feel we needed one. Felt more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel, which was a nice surprise. Definitely recommend

Our room was infested with black ants that were coming thru the space between the glass and wall. Tried to get another hotel that night but all was booked elsewhere. The room was dated. Best part of the stay was the breakfast. Sorry, we won’t be back.

The name is fitting...charming! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at La Ramona. The hotel is tucked away in a neighborhood away from the main strip, which is what we wanted. The staff were friendly and helpful. The communal kitchen had everything we needed, including a made-to-order breakfast every morning. Our room had an outside bathtub and shower on a private patio. It was very quaint and romantic. We enjoyed our stay and would go back. Thank you!

We had a great stay at La Ramona. It’s was as described in the property description. The owners and staff were all very kind and the breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately they had construction going on while we were there in November which lead to early morning wake ups due to the noise.

Staying at la Romana Charming was an excellent choice, great location, the staffs were great,the service was excellent ( it was my sister’s bday they left a cake with candle for her) I had a very good breakfast , very personalized to your taste The room was nice. Small charming hotel, as the name suggests. Rooms are spacious and hotel has a swimming pool centrally located in the centre. The best part of the rooms was the bed, which was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on. Daily housekeeping. Hotel is in a quiet area, which we appreciated, especially when the bars were rocking, but still walkable to the centre of town and the beach. The only meal option is breakfast, served between 08:00 and 10:00, and made to order.

I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel! Talk about charming. It is so quaint and warm, very comfortable beds and we loved our outdoor shower and tub. The breakfast included was some of the best we had in Costa Rica and you feel very much taken care of here. The owner and his family were so kind and helpful, we will most certainly be back. Highly recommend!
