So I checked in on Thursday October 17 a week prior or so there was a hurricane but on Wednesday, October 16 I called to make sure everything was OK. I was reassured everything was fine when I went to check in they said my room was damaged so I said why wasn’t I informed when I called the day before coming? My room wasn’t ready till 6 o’clock, but there was a woman there at the front desk. I should’ve got her name. She was great. She saved the day but the gentleman I was helping me before her was giving me the story that we had no room.

Front desk representatives were rude! They didn’t say a word to us at check in until they had to tell us that the room we reserved was overbooked and that there was nothing they could do about it. I asked if we would be refunded the difference and they said it could take weeks and it “was only $50.” So after going back and forth with them, we agreed to a $50 bar credit. We go to the bar and guess what? Bar is closed. THEN, I see a $268 charge on my bank account for a smoking fee the day after we checked out. We never smoked in that room and I’m still having to fight them to have this falsely charged fee given back to us. I have no problem paying for a fee that we owe however, we would never smoke in a hotel room! I can’t making this stuff up - it was the most ridiculous hotel experience we’ve ever had and their claim to make things right if your stay isn’t 10/10 is a complete lie.
