I didn’t end up staying here. I booked a balcony room and when we arrived we were told they didn’t have any. They stated I would not be partially refunded for what I paid even though the balcony suite was more money than a standard, nor would I receive anything for the inconvenience, so I had the front desk cancel my reservation and I booked a stay elsewhere.

Delay check ins are unacceptable

I always pay fair or higher prices to stay in higher grade hotels like Residence Inn. You can't possibly expect me to accept waiting for almost 2 hours to check in. I was there at 3:30 pm for the standard 4 pm check in time. I was told room not ready (at 4) & was forced to wait until 5:45 pm to check in??? told room not ready according to front desk due to late check outs? Sorry do not believe that albeit it surely does not matter Late check in simply unacceptable. How about you offer a pro rated price? I booked the hotel back in February. Apologies are fine but extreme delays as such need to be properly compensated. I rent a room to get into it and spend my evening on my time, not yours - not wait for your hotel incompetence. You are technically on my time I'm not on yours. Unfortunately, your hotel is very poorly managed. Its a very nice hotel therein lies the shame of that! A top notch hotel run like a low level establishment. Thank you.
