This resort is stunning and amazing. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. We had an amazing meal, jumped in the refreshing salt water pool, relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the fitness center. We have been recommending this place to all of our friends and family!

Property is beautiful throughout. We were looking for a place to play cards and were directed to the upstairs library, a hidden gem. The staff was all friendly, professional, and well trained. The pool area is unique.

We loved this place, mostly b/c of the staff... they were awesome! The room was spacious and very nice. Ate in both the restaurant and the bar and both were very good. We have the world's best chocolate lab and the staff loved her... even brought her "barkcuterie" plate, gratis! Very private with open spaces for both humans and dogs. We'll do it again!

As always the room was clean and the view from the patio was unbelievable. We loved sitting on the patio and watching the goldfish and listening to the stream. This is the 4 time we have stayed here and have always enjoyed it very much. To us Taos is a special place and El Monte has made it even more special.

Look elsewhere for quality and value

The staff was professional. The restaurant in particular. The food was excellent. That said, we saw an aging facility in need of maintenance. Our matress was a marshmallow in disguise. The sofa was very uncomfortable. The desk was tired and its lamp needs a new shade. On our last of four nights they hosted a wedding. The patio was a dance floor with very loud music that violated our suite until 10 PM. The valet parking was a needless waste of time and money. For the price, we will avoid the Heritage properties.

Great time.

Great experience after a long few weeks of traveling. Monte gave me the time, space abs comfort to regroup after several weeks of work travel. When this was booked I never expected it to be so wonderful. After weeks of work travel I was able to relax in a beautiful harmonious place. And, still able to work remotely. I will be back again.

This is a lovely property. The rooms are nicely appointed and the grounds are beautiful. The buildings are in need of some maintenance - chipped paint and missing baseboards or a couple of items. I gave our room a 4 star because the shower was terrible - hardly any water came out of the fixture. It just needs to be replaced but someone should have noticed it. We particularly appreciated the complimentary Valet service - we received rides to dinner and a complimentary pick up and return to the hotel. Very nice. We will return.

The whole property is very beautiful and quiet. Even with a wedding happening on site during one day of my stay, the property was still quiet. Definitely has a resort vibe to it. Staff was incredible and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The suite I stayed in (2 bedrooms and 2 baths) was decorated beautifully and was generally clean, but had some issues. There was an infestation of adobe bugs to the inside of the room, and that extended into the bedroom. The lighted makeup mirror in my bathroom did not work (the one in the other bathroom did). The gas fireplace worked for a few minutes but then stopped working. The blower on the Air Conditioner developed a terrible, intermittent squeal in the middle of the night that work me up so I had to turn it off. And the windows were quite dirty. Overall I expected better attention to detail at this price point. I did let the management know about these issues and they assured me they would address them.

This resort appears to need a refresh. The staff are wonderful but the property is in need of some deferred maintenance - mainly on the grounds and outer areas of accommodations. The pool area is small and in need of an update. This was our first visit to Taos and the entire area was not what we imagined
