It was hard at first to find the hotel because Taos doesn't many street lights and we arrived after dark. The magic of this location could be seen the next morning at I would consider staying here for a few days. The breakfast staff was great and the food was awesome. It had some institutional food like most hotels have, but they added some site cooked New Mexico favorites and it was yummy.

This place is THE BEST-not fancy, clean, accommodating and the perfect place to relax after a full day. The breakfast is amazing. Do yourself a favor and enjoy lodging here.

I did not end up staying at the property. The room access had a dead bolt lock that could not be accessed via the key from the outside, it had been damaged. Internally locking the door was difficult. Several lights were out. The bathroom window did not open. Carpet was dirty. I did not feel safe and decided to leave 45 minutes after arrival. I did ask for a refund. Staff were very helpful but doubt I will get a refund given it was booked through Hotels.com

Very nice! The hotel property is clean and well kept. They offer a spacious outdoor area for people to relax outside and play corn hole or Frisbee or a simple game of catch. The rooms are spacious and clean. They offer an outstanding breakfast buffet which is included in your nightly rate. Very friendly staff too! I highly recommend this hotel!

Overall positive

Overall nice hotel; however, the door lock didn't work and the AC needed to be replaced, so we had to be moved to another room. Pluses: coffee machine was available at any time; homemade salsa with chips was also pretty appropriate. The room is great: authentic look, nice matress, pillows, freedge, microwave were also there.

A Great Stay

El Pueblo Lodge is an old motel just a 10 minute walk from the plaza. It has been renovated very nicely. Bathrooms updated, southwestern decor. Their breakfast is included, and is very good.
