Disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel unfortunately. Firstly, the hotel itself is underwhelming and in no way reflects the photographs online. It’s old and run down. When walking to our room, it felt like we were walking the corridors of an old hospital ward. Big heavy doors and dim yellow lighting. It actually felt quite spooky. Some bright lights in the corridors and removing those heavy double doors around the floors would go a long way to make the hotel feel more inviting. Also putting up some photographs around the walls to bring some colour could be nice. The carpets need to be removed and replaced. They are very old and stained in places. The TVs are old and tiny. These should be updated to modern technology. Staff are rude and lack any hospitality or customer service skills, especially the bar staff. Disgusting service

it appears you are regularly understaffed on the front desk and it puts real pressure on the staff who are there and long wait times for clients. Also the new security system on doors - while I understand its a more sustainable and possible 'green' option than cards etc, i think this is a very clumsy and not user friendly option. too many digits, the handpiece is not userfriendly with the numbers way too small and close together. I suspect this will be incredibly difficult for older people and also people who are neuro diverse to use including people with dysgraphia. and guests are required to use too many numbers - 4 would be ok, but the 8? required is clumsy.
