It was horrible experience staying a night. We did self check in at 10:30 pm. No front desk available after 10 pm. No phone call service either. Heard some break in noise at around 11:00 pm. Someone knocked our room door at 11:15 pm. It was very scary to sleep. No inside secure lock available at the door. Had to call 911 since no service available. Stayed the hotel for rest at night but could not sleep properly and felt very unsafe all night.

Check in time was 4 which is later than most hotels. Typically 2-3pm. We got there at 3:10. Most hotels will allow you to check in a little early if your room is clean. Clerk would not allow anyone to check in until exactly 4 which meant there was a long line of people checking in all at once. This took a long time as there was only one person working. Finally got to room and shower had a used bar of soap on shelf and appeared to have not been cleaned. Went back down to ask clerk, but the check in line in front of her desk was even longer now. I understand the need for having a check in time, but making customers wait for no reason is ridiculous. It doesn’t cost the hotel anything to allow people to check in a few minutes early and shows the hotel is actually interested in customer comfort. I travel a lot and have never seen anything like this.

The property is conveniently located between Montrose, Ouray, and Telluride. The restaurant is not open on Monday & Tuesday, the 2 days I stayed at the property. The room was clean, but the carpet in the halls was dirty and stained. It is apparent that the guest rooms with uncarpeted floors are swept with a broom with the debris moved into the carpeted hall. The hall is vacuumed eventually. The uncarpeted rooms make for a cleaner feel. One downside is that voices in those rooms carry. In our case, our room was at the end of the hall where we were boxed in by rooms of workers staying for the night. We could hear voices in the room next door, across the hall, in the hall, and outside smoking. The location of the hotel is convenient for travel throughout the area and the rooms were fine, but beyond that I cannot make the case for much of an upside.

The late check in time is very inconvenient. Multople parties having to wait while the staff sat idle, and oblivious to the needs of your customers. I have been coming here for 15 years. And have watched customer service decline. Accommodation and personality go a long way at the front desk! Neither one was present.

Check in process was very disorganized. They had to reassign rooms because some rooms were not ready, even though it was past check in time! Also, the person had the reservation sheets in no order so she had to keep flipping through them to find the right one. In addition to that this property puts a $150.00 hold on your credit card in case you cause damage and this wasn’t explained beforehand.

Would absolutely not recommend staying at this hotel. We were arriving late for our reservation, and I followed all instructions given by the hotel to ensure we'd be able to check in and get into our room. We arrived, and did not receive the instructions that the hotel said they would send to get a physical key OR the digital key. The staff does not work past 10pm, so there was no one to contact. We were forced to book other lodging, which in this area at midnight was next to impossible. When I called the following morning to resolve the issue, the hotel did not answer nor call me back after I left a voicemail explaining what had happened. If you are sure you'll arrive when this hotel will be staffed, I am sure it is a fine place to stay. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

This property has so much potential to be great, but it’s absolutely mismanaged. First we got 8 emails about that we should wait for some mysterious digital keys that never arrived in the email Our room was only ready at the check-in time although hotel didn’t seem to be full at all. Usually hotels will let you check in at least an hour early The corridor floor was extremely dirty with some trash and stains The dust in the room wasn’t cleaned either We also got some door knocking early in the morning from cleaning staff saying they were notified that we already checked out, although we had Do Not Disturb sign on the door Again, the property is not bad, very good located, but managed unprofessionally

We stayed here for 2 days and the stay was pleasant. Premise is near by gas station sonquick gas can be filled anytime u want and walking distance to restaurants. Overall pleasant stay.
