Hotel was lovely, nice and quiet. Bed was very comfortable, slept great…. Breakfast was great, nice variety. Bar was lovely. Staff polite and friendly. It was our first time in Tenby , we will stay here again

I had a fantastic stay at the Imperial hotel. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. I asked about the scaffolding being put up at the hotel and whether it would be covering the window in my room. They found out that it would and offered me a room on the other side of the hotel. I also questioned about the heating which they think maybe the builders knocked something but were glad that I let them know. The hotel is a bit tired but it is comfortable and in a great location on the cliff top. It is being gradually refurbished and will be fabulous once complete

Very tired property, black mould in shower, water had no pressure for a shower and couldn't get hot. No hand soap in rooms, windows dirty. They also have works going on and scaffolding was being erected before 9am on a sunday, very noisy

Fantastic view with the best room in architecturally significant hotel. All this outweighed the relatively dismal state of the public areas and the sub-Britannia breakfast. Once things have improved under the new ownership this will be a goldmine for staff and owners.

Faint glimpses of grander times
It is a lovely period hotel that is in much need of repair and investment. It is very dated and looks derelict in places although it does seem there are some works undergoing on one wing. Staff however are very warm and friendly and the location is out of this world, reminder of times when this was a place to be and a real high end hang out for locals and tourists alike.
