We enjoyed our stay, Tetbury is a wonderful place to visit. The pub was good, standards were not quite as expected but we did enjoy our stay and the breakfast was lovely.
A beautiful pub/hotel in Tetbury, with a lovely beer garden. Friendly and professional staff. Parking is free and at the rear of the building. Only negative is that I found the mattress and pillows too hard and a dripping shower head but I would stay again as it was charming
Nice pub with rooms, they are on the side of the pubs outside area so can be noisy. The rooms are a bit basic no draws or cupboards if you wanted to unpack during a longer stay. Very tight bathroom with the toilet close to the bath/shower and the sink to big and close to the toilet. We stayed two nights and the bed was made and the room tidied but the tea tray was not refreshed. Good service from the staff. A little overpriced for the bed & breakfast rate.
Stayed in Room 5 - basic double room. Very small room and very small shower room. Good tea/coffee making facilities. Nice shower room products but very dirty showerhead! Good breakfast with lots of choices. No food on Sunday evenings and bar shuts at 8.30pm.
Fully recommend eating at the Royal Oak as the fiod was excellent. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very clean and a credit to the staff.
Staying whilst working locally, after a long hard day was impressed by the room and aazing shower. Had Dinner which was delicous. Staff were very friendly and courteous, and we ended our stay with a very hearty and tasty Full English. I would certainly recommed, and i think that the site would be amazing place to stay in the warmer months to enjoy the local area, as well as the sites outdoor facilities.
The food at the restaurant was nice and staff were helpful. However room not overly clean we couldn’t use kettle or glasses as they simply weren’t clean. We also had to ask for fresh towels. Apart from that, it’s a good location in the Cotswolds and there is parking available.
We left and went elsewhere because the room was very dark, like a little cell, and noisy with other rooms above, doors banging etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The pub itself looked nice inside but we didn't stay long enough to experience. I hope Expedia will give us back some of our money. Fern and Bob Ogley
Lovely stay. Our family flew from different areas of the U.S. and met in England to travel together. We have no complaints! It was clean. Staff was kind. Location fantastic.
If you are staying on the upper floor beware that you will need to transport your luggage up the stairs. The staff did offer us help. Nice quick walk to the village center. Nice park nearby.
We have just had 3 really great days based in The Royal Oak
Michael my husband was born in Tetbury and spent his first 16 years summers there. My only complaint is my final breakfast.I had avacado on toast. The sliced bread was soggy under the topping It needed a strong bread eg sough dough .The staff were so helpful and welcoming we hope to return
