The description says pet friendly when we arrived there were no " pet friendly " rooms . Then there was a fee of $250 to have pets in a non pet friendly room, which was more than the nightly fee. The carpet in the room is very old and stained. There was 2 different colors of paint in the bathroom. The rooms are in desperate need of updating. The staff did not make a effort to accommodate us with our pets , which was the primary reason we booked this hotel. I would not stay there again.

The staff was very friendly. We arrived the morning of check in and actually worked hard in getting us in a room early. Our room was spacious and clean. We had plenty of linen and bathroom items. 24 hour use of microwave, ice, vending machine and laundry. Nice clean well working mini fridge. We had a great experience and definitely would choose them again. Thank you for the great service.

Just outside Old Forge, easy parking with indoor pool. The room was clean and nice size with a refrigerator and price was very reasonable. We saved $180 over 2 nights staying here instead of a fancy place on the lake.

Nice stay

Hotel is in a nice location- just outside of town yet still close to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff. The indoor pool was great- used it with the kids in the evening and it’s also nice to have in the event of bad weather. It’s an older hotel so it’s not super soundproof. I would stay here again but I would book second story or a room that doesn’t have a room above it.

Good- Got there and was able to do early check-in and there was a pool for my girls. Other than that? It's an antiquated hotel. My room was 100°F. They said they were sorry they forgot to turn on the AC. No offer for money off. It didn't cool off till the next day. The rug was filthy, when we first entered the "lobby" it reeked of stale cigarette smoke yet no smoking allowed, floors were dirty, carpet was old, rippled and a tripping hazard, the smells were awful, the mini fridge didn't have a knob for temperature control and the maintenance guy said its working just give it some time to get cooler, it never did, freezer compartment was dripping, etc....for $407 for 2 nights the second weekend in July, i expected more! Cleanliness is huge! Even if it's an old property, and if they aren't able to update financially, cleaning it is their cheapest option! Oh, I forgot, towels were stained too! I should have taken pictures! But we were too busy and tried to avoid the place as much as possible!

Classic motel.

Classic motel. The front desk was very friendly. The bathroom needs an exhaust fan. The bathroom tiling around the tub was falling apart. And, the a/c unit was loud and insufficient to cool the room quickly. It was conveniently located across from the canoe rental shop.

The room was very spacious. However, the room was not cleaned daily, and I asked a maid in the hall one day, and she told me to leave my dirty towels out in the hall and she would provide clean ones. But, we almost ran out of toilet paper and again, I saw a maid in the hall and told her that and she apologized and said the would put it in the room and service the room. The front desk on departure was not friendly at all.

They tried to portray a woodsy/moose design- but the carpet in halls seems old, the windows in the room had a cranks which were broken, the deck/outside windows needed paint and our deck overlooked a rusty air condition unit or generator (not sure) but it was rusty - not attractive. Also overlooked two Hugh propane tanks with the grass around them unkept. The area around inside pool very dated - 70’s?? We are seniors and it was not clear on booking that our room was on the 2nd floor. No elevator and had to drag our suitcases, cooler and food up a flight of stairs. Also not enough parking spots and you really could not unload the car near the entrance. They have tried to update rooms but too many problems with the property. The pictures of outside on line are deceiving.

The bed was uncomfortable to say the least. And on our first morning our toilet over flowed, not due to us it just started running over. When I went to the desk to let them know the lady said “oh, that happens sometimes, I’ll send maintenance as soon as he gets here in a few minutes.” Luckily my husband was able to get it stopped. We waited for about 10-15 minutes and then finally a guy walked by and asked if we were in room 16 with water problems. We told him yes and he went around the corner got a plunger, and a bunch of towels. He then went into the bathroom plugged the toilet. Wiped up the dirty sewer water off the floor with the towels and said it’s all set. My husband and I were appalled. No one mopped the floor or cleaned the toilet that the dirty water flowed over. We went to the store and bought Clorox wipes, spray and paper towels so we could clean it ourselves as we were there for another day. We looked for another room in the area but everything was booked as it was the 4th of July weekend. And through all of this no one at the hotel ever said I’m sorry. There were so many other little things that were just not great but the overflow just made it worse. I would never go back.

This was our third or fourth time at Adirondack Lodge Old Forge -- we love that it's so close to everything but just outside of the busy-ness of right-downtown. My kids love the pool, I love the water pressure. Rooms have everything you could need. I'm sure we'll be back for as long as my kids love the town's water park and ice cream vendors!
