Staff was helpful and kind. The first room we entered had dirt/dead bug on the floor near the door. Worse was we noted several hairs in the bed sheets. We switched to another rim but key card wouldn’t work. The third room was fine, but the process took about an hour. Late in the night when we started the heater, smoke came out and the smoke alarm went off. This stopped when we turned off the heat.

It was not a nice motel at all. It felt unsafe and was noisy. There was a group of guests who were on the second floor balcony in there chairs drinking, smoking , and making lots of noise. It made us feel quite unsafe. I did not have a good night's sleep because of it. In spite of that, the staff was very nice & efficient.

Stay Away

This is NOT a hotel. It is a Motel and a very badly kept one. As we entered our room we found a dead cockroach (luckily dead). The whole cleaning is awful. The rooms are non-smoking just so people can smoke marijuana and cigars on the corridors. The place does not feel safe by any means. The breakfast area fits 6 people max. It has very limited things and to make things worse the clerk took all the cereal out 1h before it was over. When another family approached and asked for it (they saw Cheerios on our table) she said that was no more cereal (packs of corn flakes and Cheerios). I guess she wanted that for herself. I’ve been to some Days Inn… not that they’re any good but this is by far the worse I’ve ever seen.

Won’t Stay Here Again

We often stop in Valdosta on our drives from North Carolina home to Southwest Florida. We selected this hotel based on price and location but it was a mistake. The hotel was in good condition and clean, but the clientele left a lot to be desired. There was work on cars goin on in the parking lot. Even though I checked in early at 3pm, we were given the ground floor room furthest from the office. We didn’t notice that there was a cigarette ash tray thing right in front of our room until we returned from dinner and found the guy in the room next to us and others all standing around the ash tray thing smoking. We went into our room and smelled that the smokers had switched to marijuana, which really stank. All night long people gathered right outside our door and smoked, it was disgusting and smelly. By putting the ash tray there, the hotel basically made a smoking area right in front of my room.
The ash tray was right in front of my room, and smokers of tobacco and marijuana we’re out there all night long smoking - the sheets in the room reeked of cigarette smoke.
