Can’t believe someone recommended this to me
Arrived just before midnight, late checkin system was as good. Room hadn’t been serviced. Eventually got an onsite guy who spent 15min looking for a clean room. Finally found a single bed rooom. Hotel is very “tired”

Nice spacious room, comfortable but feeling a bit dated, very close to the custom steakhouse to stroll down for the best steak in town so I’ll definitely be back.

Walls are very thin. On the Fri night we were woken by other guests coming home drunk and then could hear them snoring through the walls which kept my partner awake for hours

The Grosvenor has a restaurant / pub onsite that serves Awesome dinners. I had the Roast Beef for dinner and battered banana with ice cream for dessert and they were both delicious! Also close to town which is handy.

My friend and I booked 2 twin rooms. Pros: the room and bathroom were clean, the shower pressure was like a waterfall (so great), the staff was super friendly and helpful. There was a kettle and tea/coffee provisions (but no stir sticks or spoons to stir). My room smelled like cigarette smoke, and front desk staff moved me immediately with no hassle. Cons: the rooms were not at all as advertised. While I felt safe and the room was clean, it didn't provide a comfortable atmosphere. They felt like a half-way house for people leaving prison 😂 They were pretty dark with only one small window. The carpet was shag, a bit threadbare, and didn't seem clean (but I'm pretty sure they were, it's just the type of carpet). The decor was...weird. One single bed pushed against the wall of felted wallpaper. There wasn't enough room for a bedside table so the phone was on the floor. While technically there was a tv, there were only 4 stations (why even bother, then?). The walls were really thin - I could hear my neighbour, quite clearly, sneeze in the night and their alarm go off. The shower had a cheap plastic shower curtain that kept blowing onto me no matter how I positioned my body or the showerhead, so I just showered with the curtain open and the showerhead pointed towards the inner wall. I would not stay here again. I wish I could share photos so you could see the actual rooms we were given.

The staff were all friendly, helpful and happy to chat about the history of the old building. The pricing was very reasonable at $255 for two nights. The room was very spacious. I would certainly stay there again.

The property is old but was obviously upgraded a few years back. Friendly service, great location. The seal around the bath needs some urgent attention. While I could hear street noise, the room was warm and I had a good night sleep.
