Excellent location, easy access to train stations and subway, huge amount of dining selections and shopping opportunity. Typical japan style hotel room, tiny but well serviced. Staffs are very nice.

Very close to restaurants, pharmacy, deparment store such as Uni Qlo, Don Quijote, 0101, next time we will visit Tokyo again i will choose APA Hotel. But like other hotels, they are providing water 1 bottle each person a day.

Superb budget hotel in the heart of Ueno.
We were apprehensive of this due to the small room but we loved it! Very close to Ueno station, and right in the heart of Ueno with a ton of local restaurants right outside. We were on a high floor so we also got some good views from our room. Surprisingly quiet given the location, we got a great night's sleep here. Staff were all good and had received our luggage from Kyoto and also helped send them onwards. The room itself is small as you would expect in Tokyo, but we found it more than manageable, and the bed itself was probably the most comfortable I've ever slept on. As a westerner, the only thing I would have liked to have seen is more choice at breakfast. It was still pretty good and I enjoyed trying all the different things on offer. Highly recommended!

In a fantastic area! Staff were nice and bag storage was a useful perk. The lobby was always a bit tight on space and the elevators were a bit slow. But a perfectly suitable option for a fun visit to Ueno.

A good hotel with a strategic location, close to train, subway, park, zoo, great museums, street commerce, fun, restaurants etc Overpriced ( room rate and breakfast) compared to the regular fees in APA hotels network. The black furniture în the room makes traces of dust în the corners obvious.

Convenience aplenty.
Well situated hotel near Ameyoko Shopping district. First trip to Tokyo, so the simplicity of easy walk to the Ueno station (as well as other lines) and Keisei Skyliner was perfect. Ueno Park and pond nearby. Older neighborhood, but perfect for budget traveller not needing the flash and glitz of say Shubuya or Shinjuku. The Beef Stand restaurant downstairs breakfast buffet was simple, but very convenient. Staff were efficient and friendly. Would easily stay here again on next visit.
