I stayed in a private room with a bunkbed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there were power outlets next to the bed, which I appreciated. There was one coat rack for hanging items. Aside from this, the room was empty.
The shared shower and bathroom area could have been more convenient. For example, there were no hooks in the bathroom for towels, so there was no where to put my towel when I washed my face and brushed my teeth. The shower floor seemed clean, but the area immediately outside of the shower floor was very dirty. So, I had to step immediately from the shower into my socks and shoes. The changing area outside the shower was also very small, so it was difficult to dry myself and get dressed. (Of course, be sure to bring your own towel.)
Also, most Japanese buildings have a no-shoes policy, but shoes are allowed everywhere in this building. (I've been in other hostels where you have to remove your shoes when you enter.) The floor was dirty and I felt uncomfortable putting some of my stuff on the floor. But, I think other guests will like being able to wear their shoes.
The location was convenient. It is a very short walk from the nearest station, and there is a 7-11 nearby.
Overall this hostel was fine for one night. The bed was very comfortable and it was a great value to have my own room. However, the shower and bathroom area needed a few more conveniences. I would not have wanted to stay more than one night.
