I booked Akasaka by mistake, thinking it was Asakusa. It's a little further from some of the tourist destinations in Asakusa and environs, but there is a WEALTH of dining options in the area, ranging from multiple convenience stores to a great dumpling and ramen place on the corner that's open from 11:00 am to 4:00 am, to a variety of very expensive and authentic-looking Japanese restaurants (clubs?) way beyond our reach. Lots of pedestrian traffic all day and night, feels very safe, subway 3 or 8 minutes away, also a Shinto shrine on a forested hill two blocks away if you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle. Room was spacious and comfortable, great bed and bath, washer/dryer in the room but the dryer function takes for ever...

Good location but hotel is old.
Small room as per usual in Tokyo. Light switches were in weird locations and insufficient power outlets. Staff were nice and helpful. Well located between 2 stations.

Really great hotel, staff were soo helpful with accommodating every need we had, the area was really nice to walk around, and is a 15 minute transit to Asakusa, and Shibuya, a lot of food options nearby.

The room was weird. The bed was up against the veranda window so to get out of bed you needed to climb over partner or slide to the bottom. There was cupboard space but only 2 hangers. Safe was on the floor so had to lay on floor to work it. It is a good spot to get around with some nice coffee shops really close.

Fine
My wife and I stayed 5 nights Pros: -Close to subway (akasaka station and Akasaka-Mitsuke station) -located in center of city so it’s a short subway ride to anywhere in Tokyo -Friendly staff -Surrounded by great bars and restaurants -Great shower! -In room laundry washer/dryer combo (takes up to 5 hrs per load, so plan accordingly) -Comfortable bed -Good AC -Clean Cons -The room layout is awkward so it feels smaller than it is -WiFi was awful The hotel was fine but I probably wouldn’t stay there again because of the bad WiFi, and there are a lot of other options in the area.

Room was small but had enough room to maneuver around. Thanks to a bunk bed style for a three bedroom room. Staffs were helpful and caring. They helped us shift our suitcases to our next destination.

Friendly staff, but issues with cleanliness in the lobbies and halls. We saw a rat run out of lobby and a found a cockroach in the elevator. The room quality was fine, other than the AC vent on the ceiling which had lots of dust and humidity buildup. Older furnishings was expected, however having booked the most expensive room one would definitely expect more. Checked out early, no refund policy.

What’s great is that it’s pretty central in Akasaka. Lots of different places to go eat whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner or even for night out drinking and snacks. There are 3 or 4 centurions on the same street with this being the least appealing of them all. It’s definitely dated and needs some updates. When we checked in we were instructed that each room had a unique QR code which would give us free wifi for the specific room. Upon searching the room , we found no such code so I called front desk and they couldn’t seem to understand what I was trying to ask and kept telling me to use the public one that is available for the entirety of the hotel. We tried to do that but was faced with extremely slow connections. I brought it up again but in person this time and they were kind enough to look further into the situation as we went along with our day. When we came back, their solution was to provide us with a pocket wifi that we shall leave in the room. It wasn’t terrible for the first night, however, as the days went by, the connection was getting worse and worse. My wife and I both had online meetings that were mandatory which is why a strong wifi connection was needed, otherwise we didn’t mind just using our data. Throughout our month long trip, this was the only place that we had issues with wifi. Lastly, just want to point out that our shower did have strong evidence of mold which to me meant that it wasn’t cleaned very well.

Good value stay
The rooms are clean. My kids loved the bunk bed. Space is a little tight but common for Japan. The part I love most and the reason why I choose these places is it's right in the heart of an active district so there are numerous great places to eat in the area. It's not too far from subway lines. It's also near a Harry Potter cafe and Harry Potter fan attractions.

It was a wonderful stay. It’s a lively area though so be prepared for the 12am- 6am crowd walking around in front of the hotel and having a good time. Otherwise, the amenities were great! The drying function on the washing machine was a bit weak, but as I’ve learned that is the custom in most hotels here. Overall, great stay and lovely area! Would definitely recommend it.
