This hotel is conveniently located right beside a train station making it very easy to plan your trips and hop on a train. Property is older and rooms are small. The hospital is located a few blocks away so you hear the ambulance and sirens a lot, especially at night
Dirty rooms and small spaces. We will not be back.

The staff were really great and accommodating. The room had a twin bed with about two ft clearance of floor around it. For the price we paid. It was not great. I think prices are up because of tourism boom. Location is literally 10 m from Shinjuku Higashi exit. Neighborhood is full of hostess and host bars. Close to Golden Gai. There are lots of all night eateries. Next time I’d like to stay in Shimokitazawa or Koenji as I found it quite loud with sirens all night long. Oh and they’ve got to do something about those tiny hard pillows. Hard for Westerners to get used to. Maybe offer as an option. It’s probably ok for one person but as two people we found navigating the space in the room to be a challenge.
At first the rooms seemed allright but as our stay went on we noticed more and more details, moldy blind and corners in the bathroom were showing.
The very tight configuration of the room was also starting to take its toll.
The hotel staff is very nice and fix all of my issues. Very quit and nice place to stay. The front desk went out of their way to solve my issues so I am very impressed
Extremely small, not a single place to store or even open any luggage. Bathroom is tiny to the point where you can barely shower. Main sink and shower are connected, so if one person is showering, no one can use the sink. No safe in the room. Fridge did not work.

The single room was tiny. There's no cupboard for clothes. I stayed for 1 week and had my belongings on the floor.

The Shinjuku area was awesome lots to do and see. The only thing the hotel could improve is the pillows
Basically it serves a very basic hotel facility and services. Cannot be compared to the other 3,4,5 stars hotels in terms of amenities and hotel facilities and aesthetic. However, for those travellers whom just want to have a simple bed and roof over your head during your shopping trips, it serves it's purposes.

For the price it's a great location with very convenient shops like Tully, McDonalds and local food areas nearby.
There aren't any lifts from Higashi train station to the street level of the hotel, so be prepared for a hike from the train.
The rooms are very small for two with most beds next to the wall.
Make sure you place the Do Not disturb sign on the door early, before 10am. We had cleaners insist on coming in right on 10am, rushing us out which wasn't much fun at all.
