I have status with Expedia and almost all hotels allow me early check-in. This time I arrived at 12:30 pm and the representative told me that check-in was at 3 pm. I asked to leave my bags and she told me to go to the concierge. I asked her to please mark that I had arrived because I was going to the city and didn't know what time I would be returning. She didn't want to even check the system and acted like she didn't understand. I had to use the translator and that's when she did the pre-check-in for me. When she looked at me she said, "The room is clean but I won't give it to you until 3 pm if you want it, pay." When I returned at night after pre-checking, I had to stand in line again to pay. And when I picked up my bags, no one offered help to carry them to the room or let me use one of the luggage carts. I had stayed here before but I had never encountered anything like this. Terrible , They only treat Japanese guests well . Very disappointing

I stay at this hotel often when in Tokyo. Given it is walking distance to Shinagawa hotel, pricing is affordable if booked early. Easy access to all parts of the city and Tokyo station nearby for airport connections. One downside is that breakfast is quite expensive, IMHO, low value for the money. Rooms are comfortable and quiet.

Absolutely exceptional stay! The service from the hotel staff was top-notch—attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. The top-floor suites facing Tokyo Tower were simply stunning, offering breathtaking views both day and night. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tokyo.

I would definitely stay here again! I reccomend this hotel if you're going to be staying in Tokyo. Hotel was within walking distance to the subway station which was very convenient. Hotel was really clean and the buffet was delicious.

Dont stay here

Don't stay here, The Grand Prince Shin Takanawa is probably the worst hotel i have stayed at in years. The room was dirty, smelt of cigarettes and a stale smell. The beds were uncomfortable and it didnt have a smart TV. Certain staff members were unhelful and rude. This was our fourth hotel during our stay in Japan all others were amazing. 5 star hotel you have to be joking, more like 2 star
