FYI, there is a cemetery right next to the hotel. Overall is ok.

This hotel is a good no frills hotel, it had the least amenities we got in any hotel in our entire Japan stay but it’s walking distance from SHINJUKU station. The customer service was great but the bathroom was not too clean, it had mold and the carpet felt a little dirty, normal for other countries but not for our Japan experience
This location was very local. The room was very minimal but got the job done.

Ok spot to stay in Shinjuku. This is on the quiet side opposite a cemetery. Room was quite spacious with great balcony. No room amenities provided in the room. These are available from the reception.
The room was a bit small but perfect for traveling since I was just looking for a place to sleep/shower/store my things. The staff was very helpful. The laundry machine was good (but know that the dryer can only fully dry about half a full load of laundry). The hotel had certain toiletries available at all times (toothbrush provided; can grab razors, hair brush, slippers, etc by front desk). The temperature control was a bit slow but evetually would get the room to the right temperature. The shower was also very nice (good water pressure).
Make sure to close the window when you check-in. Mine was basically fully open, and I didnt want to get bit by mosquitos in my sleep.
I like that the property was relatively quiet, but that could be because it is situated next to a cemetery. The rooms are pretty small. The sheets and towels were not clean. I'm sure they were washed, but it had spots and stains. We had brought this up to the staff immediately upon check in, they were responsive tried to switch the sheets, but almost all of them had some spots or small stains. Not much can be done except that we went through 6 different sheets or towel to find an acceptable one.
Great hotel that did everything we needed it to. Saw other people complaining about the size of the rooms, and so booked a superior twin. No regrets, it was a good size for us two brits. Beds were comfy, shower was great, air con worked well, and no noise from the street. What more could you want? Saw some reviews from people complaining about the cemetery - get over yourselves…

Good location, but hotel had a strange smell in the hallway and the room was very small.
Overall the location was very convenient for exploring Shinjuku. It is about a 12 min walk from the station, and very easy to get to from the Haneda airport taking the airport limousine (probably easier than trying to navigate the subway which involves a few transfers.) Some of the sheets and towels weren’t as clean as I would have liked (some stains etc.) but for the price of the hotel, I think that’s to be expected. Otherwise it was very clean. I didn’t think the pillows / bed was that comfortable, but it was ok for a few nights. For a solo traveler there was plenty of space in the room but it might have felt tight with another person. Overall I enjoyed my stay and it was a great price for the location!
The hotel is front of a cemetery and I requested them several time to have our rooms not facing the cemetery. Ended up they still arranged and cannot change the twin room back to us. They made us stay in a small room by not refunding us the variance. They said they will check how to rebate the price difference to us. But never really get back to us proactively!!! I chased again but still no one follow up!!!
Very bad breakfast options. Worst among all I had in Japan. Location is good but it’s right next to cemetery so not great feeling of staying overseeing all that.
The hotel was conveniently located in Shinjuku, with ease of access for transport, food and shopping. The room was small, that is expected in Tokyo, but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. The only downside was that we had booked a double room, but ended up with two single beds, though that wasn’t a particular problem.
