Good location

I love the Shinjuku location. You still can’t go out to see the Godzilla on the balcony. We stayed here 2 years ago and 8 nights this time. I will say the decorative pillows, and the carpet all look quite a bit more worn this time. It feels like it could use a refresher in the rooms.

Great Hotel in Kabukicho

I booked the double room which was spotless. Room is tiny but the bathroom made up for it. I enjoyed the shower and tub. The window is small if you're claustrophobic. They do offer daily housekeeping. Plenty of taxis at the lobby and near the restaurants. Shinjuku Station is about 10 min walk. Overall, we had a great stay.

I love this chain. Like the other Gracery Hotels, Shinjuku is modern, clean, and has everything you need. However, you are paying extra to be in the hotel with the Godzilla head, and he’s not worth it. You can really only see the back of it and when I was there the outdoor part of the cafe wasn’t even open. The American style breakfast is truly terrible—go elsewhere for breakfast if you stay here.

Great first time stay

Great location. Rooms are generally small and beds are hard. They were able to provide alternate pillows but no mattress topper. The bathroom was great. Rooms were quiet. The lobby bar was lame and generally no one there outside of breakfast. Would have liked a better place to grab a drink and convene. Extend check out to noon with a free loyalty program sign up and like $16 to extend to 2pm. Probably wouldn’t stay again, but good first time stay.
