This is my second time staying here within a year span. Ikebukuro is the new trend spot in Tokyo. The service and rooms are great. Very close to the JR train station (Yamanote) line - Metropolitan Exit (but closes at 11 PM). The best part is the shuttle that goes from this hotel to Narita airport if you need to fly out from Narita. There is also shuttles to Haneda as well.

I had a great time here! The location is very convenient and the staff were accommodating. The laundry room was very convenient with a connection to your tv to monitor the status of the machines.

Comfortable, clean, and convenient
10 day vacation stay with a group of friends. Room was very clean and comfortable and had an excellent view (higher floor). Not recently remodeled, so some of the furniture seemed a bit worn. My friends had rooms that appeared recently remodeled. But it was perfectly acceptable and very clean. Bed was very comfortable as were the pajamas provided. Excellent staff and service. Breakfast buffet was very delicious and varied. Location was very convenient to transportation, shopping, and dining.

Hotel room had queen bed, room furniture was a bit dated but in a good condition. Hotel location was 3 min walk to Ikebukuro train station close to Tobu & Seibu shopping department stores and Ikebukuro shopping streets. Sunshine City is about 15 min walk via Ikebukuro train station. A convenient service is hotel has the airport limousine bus to both Haneda & Narita airports.

Hotel is easy to get to from Haneda Airport and close to the train station. Lots of dining options in the hotel as well as surrounding areas, along with shopping. Staff is great and attentive. They will clean / tidy up your room each day (unless you leave your "do not disturb" sign up). There are on-site coin laundry machines which is convenient as I can pack less clothes. Only downside is there is only 6 machines so it does get taken up quickly. Will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic customer service and right across the street from the train station! Beautiful view from our room. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean and nice. No irons in room and you can only borrow them for an hour at a time.

a marble lobby doesn’t mean the hotel is good.
My 2nd stay at this hotel in a week. 1st stay I booked a superior room. It had only one working power outlet. Carpet seemed old and looked dirty. 2nd stay I booked a standard room. Was exactly the same room different floor. I used the hotels laundry room. used two machines. One worked, other machine washed, but didn’t rinse off soap or dry. I ran it through two cycles It never worked. I now had a problem and went to the hotel desk. After accusing me of running it incorrectly, they finally realized it actually didn’t work correctly. Staff put my clothes in another machine. Note each time you run a cycle, it takes two hours. So I am six hours committed to getting my laundry. I asked the person to help me get a later check out so I could deal with this laundry issue. The front desk said they would charge me extra if I checked out late. I reminded them the issue is due to their machine failure not mine. Insisted that the general manager come out and speak with me directly, finally, the front desk manager begrudgingly agreed to let me have a 2 PM check out. Our company, our contractors and distribution partners have stayed a total of 50 nights at this hotel. There won’t be a 51st night.
