We had a good four-day stay. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom, showers very clean. Two twin beds room was exactly that - two beds wall to wall. But it was all we needed for rest.
The bed was very comfortable. The quality of the comforter was excellent. I like to sleep in a cool room and the comforter kept me a comfortable temperature. The room faces the sun in the morning and can get warm, but the ductless system quickly cooled the room. The sheets and pillow cases are of excellent quality.
All the common areas were clean.
The service was excellent. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Most of them did understand English and a few also spoke English as well.
There is a shared bathroom and a separate shared shower for men on each floor. There at 3 separate woman’s showers and multiple bathrooms for women on each floor.
Relatively very clean. Good location. Close to metro. There is a limited time frame for check-in and out. That was a little inconvenient for us but it was not a big problem. They gave us only one key to our room. When my partner stepped out for smoking, I got locked out of the room. It would be great if they can provide two keys. Sinks where we wash the face or brush the teeth are very low and it seems like everything from the mouth after gargling goes on top of the faucet and I did not find it very hygienic. Staff were nice and helpful.
Have stayed here twice now and both times it was a very pleasant experience. This time I had a room on the front of the building with a huge window overlooking the street - fabulous. The staff on the desk when checking in were very helpful. It is a 4 min walk to a JR Line and a 15-20 min walk into the beating heart of Asakusa. I would stay here again if back in Tokyo.
What an amazing spot!
Location: Very close (<5min) to subway, elevators on the iriya subway to help with traveller suitcases. Also prime location to Kappabashi (~10-15min) with multiple yummy bakeries and coffee shops nearby. Also 20ish min walk btw Ueno and Akihabara after that.
Lota of great coffee and tea stores. Might avoid Sensoji food stalls (like to eat on the go) a lot of them overrated.
Front desk: Staff spoke some English but very hospitable. They allow you to leave luggage for the day until 8pm which is when reception closes. Offer free wifi, cleaning ($), and water.
Room space is a bit tight but I was able to open suitcases in a twin room at least. Moving around them was hard.
Everything was pretty clean all in all, although beware the white
Cons: the rooms are soundproof but the doors sure aren't. They have a note to be quiet at night but there are a few people who think they aren't that noisy. You can hear the opening and closing of the doors and elevator announcements. People talking also get through the door.
Air con wind gust can get pretty cold and uncomfortable. Also light peaks through the window quite a bit so it feels hard to sleep in.
The people at the counter need to speak English much better. I can hardly understand what Yoko was saying and she showed us where the elevators were with a brush of her hand.
For the price the stay was good, however we could hear everything from the corridors and rooms next door. There was no womens toilets on our floor, would have to go to a different floor for that. And we ended up finding a bed bug on the duvet.
While it may seem like the hotel is loceted a bit far from common epicenter of tourist attractions, the hotel is locetad quite conveniently near the Tokyo metro. Walking to Ueno and Asakusa is also an option. Its a good small hotel for a good price, and the service is quite nice. While the walls might be a bit thin, its something expected.
More time available at the front desk should be available, as another visitor was supposed to be at my room and

5 minute walk from subway line. This place focuses on shared space amongst other guests. You only get a room to yourself (bed/mini fridge/coat hooks/floor space for luggages). Staff were friendly but be mindful about their availability.
Being this was a last minute booking, we chose this location based on budget and minimizing commute time to catch early morning Keisei Skyliner train ride to Narita.
Overall, very satisfied with service.
Got in very late so reception closed but they left a note on the door for late arrivals and it was very easy to follow their instructions and get into my room. Room was very cozy and the bed incredibly comfortable. The whole building was spotlessly clean and the facilities, sitting room, kitchen, laundry area fabulous. It was a short taxi ride from Ueno station and easy to find as on a Main Street up from the station. Around the corner 1 min walk is a conveniences store open 24 hours. It was easy walking to all the main local sites and the river. And a quick taxi ride back if tired.
