We had a great stay at Villa Fontaine. Very centrally located with attentive staff. The room is small, as to be expected in Tokyo, but the beds were comfortable and the room was dark. The bathroom was nice as well!

This was our second trip to Japan and out of 4 different hotels, this one is pretty par for the course. Small style room but functional. I was happy to have a queen size bed. The shower was a wet room with a door separated from the sink and toilet- I really liked that. The hotel staff dropped hospitality bags off at our door every day that contained new towels, robes, slippers, etc. and they did it so much that we had a room full of these bags by the time we left lol. I wasn't sure about the area around based on reviews. I am a light sleeper and was afraid of the noise but there was none. I heard no people or sirens throughout the night. There were call girls but I did not feel unsafe at any point. I am a 30 year old woman and I would feel very safe walking around the area at night alone. Just like anywhere else in the major cities of Japan, it is very walkable. It is right across the street from 711 and several restaurants. I would recommend this stay to anyone who wants a clean, safe, nice place to sleep for a decent price.

Our room was on the 2nd floor but it was still super quiet. I couldn’t even hear the police sirens at all and this was at the heart of Kabukicho. Speaking of which, although it’s in the midst of the chaos and high traffic area, the hotel still felt very safe with polite staff that always greeted and bowed to us nicely whenever we walked by the lobby. Their washroom was extraordinarily large

Pretty spacious for the neighborhood and price. It’s still tiny compared to western hotels. But I love the bathtub. Soaked in it after a long day walking around.

Probably would not return.
Location was perfect. Close to everything and within 5-10 minutes of train stations. However, the aroma of the room was a bit off putting (think porta-potty+cleaning detergent) and the bed/pillow was too firm for my liking. The toilet bidet kept unleashing an aggressive fountain of water mid-wipe. Unsure if the toilet was broken or if that setting was set on automatic, but it was not a pleasant experience. Amenities offered were convenient and thoughtful and readily on supply. Although the price was right, and the hotel was cute, convenient and service was great (awesome luggage holding service) I do think that I would dish out a few extra hundred for a competitor hotel next time (to experience a more comfortable/pleasant stay).
