Liked: Amenities
Lots of room space- lobby lighting is cold and unwelcoming; there is no lounge space and is - awkwardly filled with luggage storage. Easier location access when using alternate station than Shinjuku
A great place to stay at if you are trying to get the most of your Tokyo trip. Easy access to trains, taxis, entertainment, bars, restaurants, laundry, etc.

Not the closest to train stations but still walking distance. Bathroom sink was cracked and had a few dirty marks. Shower temperature was warm but couldn’t make it hot enough.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
recently stayed at a hotel that offered a slightly larger room, which was quite decent for the price. The staff were exceptionally helpful, patiently assisting with luggage delivery arrangements. The location was about a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest train station. While the area could be rowdy at night, it felt safe, typical of Japan’s environment. Overall, my experience was positive, especially considering the room size and the attentive service provided by the staff.
This place is really nice and located in a fantastic area! Initially, I was worried the room might be small, but it turned out to be spacious enough to comfortably fit our belongings and still have room to move around. It’s also conveniently just a 13-minute walk to Shinjuku Station.
The hotel is in a great location, walkable to many destinations in the area, but away from the hustle and bustle around Shinjuku Station. The rooms are small, but no smaller than any other more expensive hotels we have stayed at in the area. The staff were helpful.
The hotel was very good. Room was large for Japanese room and well appointed. Staff were helpful and the location is central and convenient for food and transport options. I would recommend for other travelers.
It was a really nice hotel. The location is perfect as it is close enough to the busy area yet far away that you won't hear any noise. I would come recommend it to everyone. The room was a bit small for what we are use to here in the US but the bed was a queen size and the room was big enough. The bathroom is also big. Staff were amazing.
This hotel is in a good location and it is handy for restaurants and shopping. It was very clean and well equipped.
The rooms however are really small and you can’t open a suitcase unless you put it on the bed. I would only recommend if you are only one person per room.
The hotel is good, the bathroom is clean and big but the sleeping area is a little bit small, but it’s nice and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
The room was well-kept every day during our stay and the front desk staff was very helpful in making sure our stay was comfortable. Special shoutout to Yuki and the front desk staff for making sure our luggages would make it to our next destination without any inconveniences.
Would stay here again!
My stay at the Hotel Villa Fontaine Tokyo - Shinjuku was very good. I got the Kabuku "Run of the House" room which was themed and had significantly more space compared to a standard room. It's still a small room by US standards but at least had space for luggage and a small table. Facilities and amenities were good. The location is a bit of a walk from Shinjuku station and you may find other JR or Metro stations are closer, depending where you want to go to. The only potential issue is it's location in Kabukicho where you will walk past various love hotels. Not a serious issue but a consideration if you have younger family members with you.
