Good hotel, but probably you do not get not what you’d expect from a Mandarin property. The concierge stuff was poor, hotel rooms need an upgrade.

Not worth the money

Concierge service was not good at all - struggled to book a restaurant for us, needed to explain it several times to different people despite emailing in advance. Emails went without reply and the concierge team didn't speak good English or actually listen to us. Room had a great view, although it required two lifts to get to, one on ea different side of the building to the other. Spa / swimming pool access was only free before 9.30am. Bathroom was good but overall the furnishings inn the room were dated and the bathroom door was awkward to shut. I expected more for the price. The Palace was cheaper and the service was far superior and a much better room.

Mandarin Oriental Tokyo was a fantastic way to begin our Tokyo tour! We stayed here for 4 nights prior to our cruise and absolutely loved the hotel. Staff was professional and delightful to be around, food was great in the restaurants and room service. Rooms were spacious, comfy and clean with amazing views of the Tokyo skyline!

There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel. It is fabulous. So relaxing. It was hard to leave it to go out and see Tokyo; I could have stayed there the whole time! We decided that we had the best food of our trip in the Oriental lounge on 2 occasions. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The front desk accomodated our early arrival knowing how tired we were. I love the international feel of the staff From the front to housekeeping and the restaurant staff I would like to extend my thanks to the young man who helped us on our first day as well as to Chou and Charlene who helped us get our feet under us during first 24 hours in Tokyo This is why the Mandarin has the reputation it has.
