Hotel was nice enough. Location was convenient to Ebisu station. Main criticism was no hot water kettle for my nightly tea. And late night Ramen noodles ☹️

Clean hotel in an Excellent position very convenient to everywhere. The staff are very inflexible and haphazard. English is not commonly spoken. Breakfast was included in my room rate but the staff at the cafe who served the breakfast asked for extra money for the coffee sometime 55, other times 450 Yen! Which is it? I stayed for 6 nights and as I had an evening flight asked for late check out or luggage storage. One staff told me it was ok but on the day, the other staff refused to allow any. These guys have to understand their guests have chosen and are paying good money for their rooms and let themselves be courteous and of service to their guests.

This was not a full service hotel, and the check in was done by a machine. It was in a convenient location. There was a nice cafe but with a very limited selection of food. There are nice restaurants at the station which is about 3 minutes away walking.

Great Ebisu Hotel
Very conveniently located hotel, 5 minutes walk from Ebisu station. The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed. Location is very good with lots of restaurants, conbinis and supermarkets around. Location fairly quiet too, so easy to sleep and rest up. Breakfast at the hotel is simple toast and coffee, but enough to get your day started. Hotel recommended!

While the property was clean and quiet - the problem I had was with the bed and temperature. There were many guides, but none to use the A/C. The translator app didn't help with deciphering the remote. The bed was firm, but hot. I slept terribly, and it ruined my trip. I was exhausted all the time, and was in town for business to deliver a presentation. I went to the front counter to ask for a sheet instead of this heavy duvet. You see the mattress is covered by a flat sheet. But they do not offer a flat sheet to sleep under. When I asked at the desk, they laughed (it's an american trait apparently?) and said they'd try to get another blanket out of storage. To their credit I was in my room that evening, but providing a thick blanket was not helpful either. Eventually I took the duvet and separated it from the heavy comforter and used that as a sheet. Although, when I was "required" to have a cleaning every three days, the cleaning person would restuff it and put it on my bed again. Then when I would go down for breakfast they offer only one dish to their travelers if you opt-into breakfast. It's a small coffee and a thick piece of cheese covered toast which is ham or tuna. There's no fork or knife. You're supposed to use your hands and get all greasy before heading out for the day. It left my hands stinking even after washing. Come on. I would not stay here again, despite how friendly the staff was.

Great place to stay, I had a single room which was spacious. The room was clean, bed was comfy, massive TV with netflix and youtube, and has a safe. Quiet neighbourhood. Shower pressure was really good. Only thing was that the room didn't have a kettle. The cafe that offered free breakfast was very simple, a slice of buttered bread or with cheese and a drink. The cafe usually had a queue in the afternoon, seemed popular amongst the locals. There's convenience stores nearby so you can get more food for you breakfast so wasn't a big deal. There is a sign saying that they'll improve it. Loads of restaurants nearby and Ebisu station isn't far at all. Overall great experience and would recommend.

This was a very nice hotel in a nice part of town. It was so close to Ebisu station annd walkable to Shibuya. The beds were some of the most comfortable beds I have stayed in. The breakfast that was free for us was excellent - I don’t understand the reviews that hated it. It was excellent cheese toast and a drink. Will stay again!
