Not to be confused with Richmond Hotel across the street. My reservation ended up being for a smoking room (not sure how, Expedia?) was “upgraded” to a non-smoking for $30 a night. On the bright side, it included breakfast. The view from the room was great! Large rooms, clean, modern. The hotel is in the heart of Asakusa, very touristy area, but everything one could want it steps away.

Very nice once we had room with twin bed, The double bed room was smaller than our cruise ship room and no place to store suitcases. The automatic flushing toilet was unusual, Breakfasts were super, The hotel does not have its own lunch/dinner restaurant. It does offer free wine/snacks to guests in the afternoon and early evening, The kobe beef restaurant two floors down is helpful and also pricey. Nice checkin, luggage storeage for early arrival, very easy checkout, an automated currency exchanger in lobby. Included wifi in room, No English TV we could find,

We had higher expectations
Pros: Good location and had excellent views. A decent spread of both Japanese and Western food for breakfast. Cons: Hotel is looking tired. Our room cleanliness did not meet Japanese standards. It was the worst of the five hotels we stayed in Japan. It needs a proper clean especially the toilet. There were stains on the carpet and furniture. Check-in staff could be more efficient. There were ample staff and yet It was surprising to find a few staff clustering to assist just one customer while you had to wait unnecessarily.

I would come back again. Located in an excellent area. I felt very relaxed in this hotel. Free coffee and drinks in a certain period. Don’t try the laundry service but they have it.

It was very, very well located, and that is always one of our priorities. It is super close to shopping, the shrine, the samurai Museum, and tea, ceremony, restaurants, bars, and stores. They offered a really great optional breakfast buffet, which had western and Japanese options. The orange juicer wasn’t great way to start your day. They offered a lot of free amenities, including facial soaps, facial masks, toothbrushes, razors, shaving cream, airbrushes, etc. The only weird thing was That had to take an elevator to the lobby, which was on the fifth floor. The Room was larger than others we had in Tokyo. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is convenient and well maintained with good service in the breakfast room. This is like a business hotel, very basic, small rooms. The room was supposed to be 18sq ms, but seemed much smaller as we only had a double bed and there wasn’t much space to walk or open suitcases. We were only given one pillow each which made it uncomfortable to read in bed. The bed had a hard mattress, typical in Japan. I had a hard time sleeping due to noise in the halls. Our room was near the elevators (avoid rooms ending in 19), water refilling station and laundry room making for a lot of noise, particularly the constant dings of the elevators. The breakfast was very good, though expensive. They have fresh squeezed orange juice, pastries, fruit, egg station and lots of Asian options. This was my 4th hotel in Tokyo this year and the most expensive, so I was expecting a little more luxury, but it was pretty similar to other budget hotels I stayed in, though this room was much smaller. I asked if I could upgrade to a twin room but they wanted another $300 CAD for the privilege, which I thought was crazy since twin rooms I had booked at similar hotels were actually the same price I had paid for this double bed room.

Wonderful friendly staff. Perfect location. Very generous with the amenities. The rooms were modern, clean and well- kept. Also they have the best breakfast imaginable including delicious varieties of cold food, pastries and also freshly cooked hot foods . We also appreciated the open bar for refreshments and beverages. Hotel is located on top of Uniqlo Asakusa. Area is usually veery busy. 2 mins walk to Asakusa Tsukuba Express station, and 10 mins walk to Sensoji. Room size is typical of Japanese hotel size in Tokyo. Has convenient stores nearby.

Very small room with dirty stained chair which was off-putting. Breakfast was the same every day and the food was fresh but not very tasty or exciting. Evening drinks were a nice touch and the location was very good- many sites within walking distance. Staff were friendly and automated check out was excellent.
