This was a great hotel BUT it is part of a HUGE hotel complex. On arrival, staff directed us to the correct area for check in, where we checked in on a machine. Other than that, we had no interactions with staff there at all. Check out was just leaving the key card in a box. If you like independence and coming and going as you please, this will work for you. There are shops within the complex, including a convenience store, which is hugely convenient and restaurants within and around the complex. And it is only 100-200 metres from the Shinagawa station.

Although the rooms are fine- outdated and very bare- the service at the hotel is horrific. The air in our room was set to 15C yet the room temperature was nearly 25C. When we informed the staff, they pretty much scoffed at us and told us, “the air is functioning properly.” As if that accounted for the unbearably warm room. Staying for four night, we would’ve expected that they would offer to move rooms. They did not. What they did was send someone from hospitality into our room who stuck his hand by the vent, felt air come out, and then informed us yet again, “the air is functioning properly.” Very dissatisfied.

The aircon was not working and the second time I complained about it , they checked & decided to move us next room. The aircon was not working well neither. The first employee that came up to check was rude, not acceptable but the second batch of workers were helpful.

The hotel overall is a great experience and is always a pleasure to stay at. The main tower rooms are limited with electrical outlets and the showers are not well built and maintained. Water always ends up on the floor and in the room which I was in, mold was visible in the shower tiles and the grout had chipped away in some areas.

Overall this hotel was acceptable. Things we did not like: The room was very small. There was no place in the room to easily open a large suitcase let alone two of them. The bed was adequate, but there was only one pillow per bed. The only "amenity" was a toothbrush. Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash were available. We stayed in a property in Yokohama that was a little more than 1/2 the price ($110 vs $190) but had MUCH better facilities.

The rooms in main tower are outdated and not upgraded. In need of a make over. Small room and small TV. Refrigerator didn’t get cold. Felt like a cruise ship cabin. Lots of charging outlets in the room. Good part is the convenience of the train station, buses and taxis right outside. Theres a 7-11 on the property. Unsure of breakfast options. As they were not advertised.

HIROKI

The hotel needs more efforts to keep it updated and clean. The gym is excellent but other aspects of the hotels need more attention. I can see that they are not maintaining well even though the price is expensive. Probably it is cutting the costs. The experience was just so so. Nothing special.
