Friendly and helpful staff! Room is small but standard for the price in the heart of Shinjuku. Great location with tons of dining options, and with Shinjuku station about 10 mins away you have access to many subway lines, and it is also the starting point JR's special train to Mt. Fuji. A big plus is the excellent breakfast provided by the hotel with wide selection of typical western and traditional Japanese food items at a very reasonable price. Would definately stay there when back to Tokyo.

The location is convenient to walk to the main attraction, but if you travel alone, I recommend staying at a safer location. Just when I checked out the hotel, I saw four police in front of the hotel and there were a woman who had a big bump on her forehead. It’s 9:30am in the morning and she just got attacked by someone else.

We stayed on the 17th floor in a massive suit featuring on open sky shower and tree garden. Inside, another shower adjacent a deep tub, beautiful oak flooring in the living room and bedroom areas featuring huge windows with automatic shades and blinds. This suit included two large flat screen TV's and a music stereo with speakers piped throughout. The buffet breakfast on the 12th floor is very good (I loved the bacon and curry rice) and includes Japanese and Western selections and quite popular with the other guests; arrive early to get a window seat. We also took advantage of one of the convenient parking spaces. The staff is very professional and friendly. This is my second stay at the Granbell Shinjuku and is my first choice every time I visit the area.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Shinjuku

Easy to reach from the JR train station and close to the active part of Shinjuku. The room and floors are clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. One of the more comfortable beds we slept in during our 2 week vacation in Japan.
