Stinky, Crowded, Tony Capsule Hotel
Whole place smelled absolutely terrible, they force you to check out and leave the hotel every day at 10 am, and check back in at 2 pm, you can’t be in the hotel at all during that time, or grab any of your stuff. Service was kind enough but the lockers are tiny, the hallways to the lockers are tiny, and people will bump into you trying to change. Impossible to do anything there. Seems like they haven’t remodeled anything since the 80s, everything is old. The baths are ok but always filled. You only get one set of towels, extra costs money, so every hangs their towels on their lockers or rooms to dry, adding to the stink. It’s a shame because it could be much better but after a single night (as a 6’4” man that didn’t come close to fitting in the capsule) I left and didn’t come back, I don’t care I lost the money on the reservation. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. Sorry, but there are better capsule options elsewhere.

Entire properly has to check out and leave the property between 10am-2pm everyday no matter how long you’re staying? It’s utterly baffling and the loud intercom every morning warning people that overstaying this 10am time will incur a fine is excessive. Was extremely convent in terms of location but all to often I did feel like I was in an episode of squid game.

Price was good and staff helpful. Amazing location in Shinjuku. Night life all around and convenient location to subway. Bathroom had lots of amenities including free shampoo, conditioner, bodywash. Plenty of towels and free disposable slippers available. However, no AC available in each pod or really on the floors. Was quite warm. Not able to store luggage.

This area can ve good to stay in for everything you want but this is a shared facilities there are no privet showers or bathub . The bathrooms are stall and urinals which is like being out in public. The place is a bit warm and none of yhe capsules have your own air con system so when you close the curtain it warms up pretty fast and the mattresses are pretty thin more thwn others ive stayed in but you are getting this place pretty cheap so it comes with some things . The common room was nice its big and there are no privet places for suitcases but it is japan and its in a monitored room and next to common area . You do get a small privet locker for little things su j as a small backpack . The front staff were very nice and accommodating. Also everyday between 10 am and 2 pm everyone must leave the building for cleaning and new sheets

I dont even know how to describe this stay. One user said "only stay here if you enjoy being inconvenienced" and I cannot agree more. The check in system (that is daily and not specified in the booking) is arduous, weird, and complicated; 1: put your shoes in a shoe locker 2: bring them shoe locker key 3: exchange shoe locker key for locker associated with your specific capsule (but not in the same location which makes storage super fun) 4: leave everday by 10am lest you get charged. 5: enjoy the pileup of people trying to return their key to access their shoes and/or the 1 elavator. 6: sometimes recieve a laminated slip along with your shoe locker key required for later evening "check in" 7: be confused along with the staff while they try to figure out if you do or dont have a laminated slip for some reason If you're still interested, allow me to deterr you further. There are over 80 beds in your room, no door to your capsule but rather a very loud curtain so you can know when your neighbors get up to piss at 4am😊 also please dont be fooled by the vent in your capsul as there is no fan and it is very hot. Choose between airflow and all night flourescent lighting by keeping your curtain open or a sweaty private nightmare if you keep it closed. The bed hurt everyones backs The "common room" is not gender specific and reeks of smoke. As a group of women in our pjs it was a very uncomfortable environment. full of drunk black and latin gaijin making noise at all hours. not a true capsule at all. more like a youth hostel. also the sanitation of hot tub was awful. you will get a skin disease for sure.

The stay was good, second night a bit noisy in the sleeping area. Women did not clean up after themselves in the bathroom, hair all over the floor. Sleeping mat a little hard but doable. The comman room was very nice and shared with the men, lots of options for food and drink in the vending machines. Easy to get around the city from there. Staff super helpful. A lot of dining in the area. I would stay again.

No Air Conditioning Inside Capsule
There was no air conditioning Inside the capsule and it was very uncomfortable. The mattress was terrible And the television channels are all in Japanese.
