What a wonderful property !! I stayed in the 8th floor (all female dorm) and it was clean and very quiet. They had amenities (aside from toothpaste) in the washrooms so you don’t need to bring anything if you don’t need. They have lockers and luggage storage but i ended up keeping my luggage beside my bed. Overall the staff were very friendly, and it was a good location to catch transit and walk around. Plus there’s a pub crawl place literally beside the capsule hotel. Pros: -quiet -clean, every female is given slippers and new towels clothes daily. Shoes have to be locked up downstairs -personal locker for your items with key and lock. -capsules aren’t terrible room-wise -no curfew ! -the 8th floor door is locked so only women can enter Cons -because you can’t have shoes and have to lock them up the downstairs can at times smell like feet but there are worse things than this -there is only ONE elevator, so checking out at 10am (as required) takes over 30 mins to get from the 8th floor to the 3rd floor just due to there amount of people leaving. There are no other problems with the elevator any other time of the day, just at checkout time. There are also no stairs. -it’s so quiet that you can’t take a call on the floor. So, that’s a bit frustrating -people leave their luggage open in the walk ways ??? This is not the capsules fault but the ignorance of others. -bathrooms are only to be used on your floors/ the shared lounge bathroom is usually barricaded

My issues began when I tried to check in at 1350. The staff told me I could not check in until 1400 and further asked me to leave the hotel until that time. They have this weird situation where you leave your shoes at the entrance in exchange for a shoe locker key. Then you trade that in for a normal locker key so when you want to come and go you need to exchange these keys. This place can hold over 400 people and they only have one rickety slow elevator that fits about 5 people without luggage. Keep this in mind for this next part... You are required to check out at 10 AM every morning no matter how long your stay is to then check back in at 2 PM. If your luggage doesn't fit inside the small provided locker then you're stuck carrying it with you for 4 hours. You are not allowed to keep anything in your bunk during this period either. The previously mentioned storage locker area is cramped and when every resident needs to check out in the morning, this causes an even bigger problem. All that aside, I couldn't get any sleep because the sleeping area or entire floor set off my allergies so bad, which would lead me to assume a dust/mold issue. I ended up booking other arrangements last minute for 4 of my 6 nights and one of the two nights I had to stay, I mainly slept in a bean bag in the common room since it had open window ventilation. I do not recommend staying here at all, but if you want to, make sure all of these things don't hinder your actual vacation plans!

It was an experience
I had to stay at a capsule hotel in Japan, or so I was told. I guess I am glad I had the experience and over all it wasn't horrible. They are trying. I'm sure it's impossible to keep up on everything with the amount of traffic they get and the area it's in. The staff was very courteous and my capsule was fine; if a bit dated. It's noisy and bright all night. I was able to sleep.

Stinky, Crowded, Tony Capsule Hotel
Whole place smelled absolutely terrible, they force you to check out and leave the hotel every day at 10 am, and check back in at 2 pm, you can’t be in the hotel at all during that time, or grab any of your stuff. Service was kind enough but the lockers are tiny, the hallways to the lockers are tiny, and people will bump into you trying to change. Impossible to do anything there. Seems like they haven’t remodeled anything since the 80s, everything is old. The baths are ok but always filled. You only get one set of towels, extra costs money, so every hangs their towels on their lockers or rooms to dry, adding to the stink. It’s a shame because it could be much better but after a single night (as a 6’4” man that didn’t come close to fitting in the capsule) I left and didn’t come back, I don’t care I lost the money on the reservation. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. Sorry, but there are better capsule options elsewhere.

Entire properly has to check out and leave the property between 10am-2pm everyday no matter how long you’re staying? It’s utterly baffling and the loud intercom every morning warning people that overstaying this 10am time will incur a fine is excessive. Was extremely convent in terms of location but all to often I did feel like I was in an episode of squid game.

Capsule hotel review
Price was good and staff helpful. Amazing location in Shinjuku. Night life all around and convenient location to subway. Bathroom had lots of amenities including free shampoo, conditioner, bodywash. Plenty of towels and free disposable slippers available. However, no AC available in each pod or really on the floors. Was quite warm. Not able to store luggage.

This area can ve good to stay in for everything you want but this is a shared facilities there are no privet showers or bathub . The bathrooms are stall and urinals which is like being out in public. The place is a bit warm and none of yhe capsules have your own air con system so when you close the curtain it warms up pretty fast and the mattresses are pretty thin more thwn others ive stayed in but you are getting this place pretty cheap so it comes with some things . The common room was nice its big and there are no privet places for suitcases but it is japan and its in a monitored room and next to common area . You do get a small privet locker for little things su j as a small backpack . The front staff were very nice and accommodating. Also everyday between 10 am and 2 pm everyone must leave the building for cleaning and new sheets
