Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Pros:
- nice quiet location off the busy street
- free breakfast but not really any options.
- spacious hotel room
- nice view from my room
Cons:
- Room was smelly like it needed to be aired out
- bathroom is super cramped and small I’m 5ft and I still was hitting everything.
- bit of a walk to the train after a long day
- WiFi only works in lobby
- The “baggage hold” is literally just you putting your suitcase in the staircase. No security or anything
Very quiet and convenient to train station. A small room but enough space for what is needed for short term stay of five days. Lawson across the street was handy for supplies. Staff were pleasant and helpful even though they didn’t speak much English, it was not a problem at all. Free wifi was a bonus when mine kept dropping out. I would recommend this hotel for a short term stay.
The breakfast was not good at all. Over all it was a good place to stay quiet and safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever I needed help with anything.
Nice quiet area a short walk from Shin-Okubo station. The staff were friendly and patient with the language barrier (I could only speak a little Japanese). They even cleaned up the room and towels every day. 24 hour convenience store just across the road. Can’t comment on the breakfast or restaurant because we never used it, but both were available. Overall an enjoyable stay with no issues.
Very nice hotel. We had a view of the buildings of Shinjuku on the 6th floor. There is a wonderful garden with a waterfall and koi in a pond. Absolutely beautiful. A Lawson Store is right across the street for convenience. Would definitely recommend!
I love how quiet the place was and very very near Lawson. It's also 3 blocks to the station. The staff hardly understands english except for one who really helped us a lot and always smiling. Too bad I cannot remember his name. But overall our stay was good.
For those looking to stay near the busy area of shinjuku this was 1 train stop away and tucked into a quieter neighborhood. The room was small but comfortable with a tiny washroom you’ll understand if you’ve been to Japan before. The complementary cereal and coffee was nice for the start of our day. Fresh towels daily were nice. Only “issue” was we asked for an extra pillow and we were told ‘No, no, no - you only need 1’. All in all would recommend
The only thing that was disappointing was the wifi signal and occasionally dropping in and out
The staff however were amazing and for a cheap solution was amazing for us! Would recommend anyone travelling to Tokyo who wants a bigger room to stay here
