Don’t get me wrong, this is an amazing property however, in the winter months I don’t think they extend their thoughts to the facilities around them to ensure safety of its customers.
If you are walking to the hotel, you pass through the escalator to get access into the connected office building and the hotel did not notify me that this access would be closed on weekends. So I had to take the additional walk up through the garden paths/hill leading to the hotel and I ended up slipping and falling on black ice and injuring my knee which ended up causing internal bleeding and other complications that lasted for months.
If they did notify me of the closure OR cleaned up the paths that you must walk on leading to their hotel, this could entirely be prevented. For a five star hotel details are key and although everything else was great this ruined my experience with them.
So please be aware of this when visiting in the winter months as this is a major safety issue and can be prevented.
