A short walk from one of the main train stations in the city, good restaurants nearby, spacious rooms, very attentive staff who are well versed in multiple languages, and great coffee! Loved my stay here, and would come back with family.
We really like the hotel. Beds and comforters are very comfortable. The location is very quiet but very safe. Family Mart is just across from the hotel which make it very convenient if you need something in the last minutes or need some ready to eat food. This hotel is very good for family.
Absolutely perfect. I'm so glad I picked this property for our honeymoon stay. The staff was incredibly kind, the premises were genuinely the cleanest I've ever seen, and they even have a free amenities dresser. 10/10 stay. Will absolutely return in the future.
Stayed there during the summer.
No AC in the elevator which felt really hot and stuffy inside.
And since the hallway is open air, it can also get very hot standing in the hallway waiting for elevator.
Otherwise good location and clean room.
We had such a great time at the Tourist Hotel @ Cafe Akihabara, the rooms were well laid out and spacious for Tokyo standards, but in particular the attention and care paid to us by the staff was exceptional. They were very attentive and helpful throughout our stay including when we had to make unexpected changes midway through our trip. Will definitely be staying here again.
Perfect location in Akihabara area - it's about 10 mins walk from Akihabara station. It's located on the other side of Akihabara Electric Town so it's more quiet and less crowd. Also it's within a walking distance to Ueno area as well.
The family room is spacious which give you enough space to place you open & pack your suitcase.
Great location and awesome staff. Rooms are standard size for tokyo. Small compared to other hotels around the globe but you will just be sleeping there as the area around will take up your time as you shop, eat and explore
Hotel was nicely situated in a residential area on a smaller, quieter street. Safe neighbourhood. About a 5-9 mins walk to Akihabara station (depending on which entrance you are using). Restaurants, drug stores and shopping were about a 5-7 min walk from the hotel. Lots of options to choose from. Family mart across the street and 7/11 two blocks down.
Stayed in 2 connecting rooms, each with 2 twin beds and a washroom. The rooms were a good size in Japan standards and very clean. The beds comfortable and were raised up on a platform which allowed 2 large luggage pieces to be stored underneath. The floor area is big enough to have two large luggage pieces to be open at the same time. Washroom was spacious and had a long counter to put toiletries and makeup/face products for the wife. Auto flushing toilet with a bidet was a nice feature. Shower stall only, no tub.
There was an independently operated climate control unit in the room. Had to turn it on/off with a remote. They don’t recommend leaving it on when you are away to prevent the ac dripping on your bed.
Laundry machine and dryer was available. 300 yen for a wash and 100 yen for each 30 mins of drying. Very helpful to minimize the amount of clothing required on the trip.
Overall, very good experience. I would stay here again on our next trip to Tokyo.
Our rooms for the 4 of us were spacious enough by Tokyo standards. Things were basically clean, but there were a lot of smells in the restrooms. Breakfast was just 3 choices. The mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable. Overall everything was fine, but not great.
We had a lovely stay at the tourist hotel. They are about 5 mins walk to train stations and restaurants. The room was spacious for Tokyo standard. Their coffee was something I look forward to everyday, still thinking about it!
Excellent, stylish property. Short walk from Akihabara station and other stations. We had interconnecting rooms that are convenient for families. The breakfast package includes a choice of three options. Coffee available all day. Good value for price paid. All in all, exceeded expectations.
