In-room washer/dryer made it worth the stay

The Bad: Personal preference, but the mattress was super firm, almost hard. I didn't ask if there was a mattress topper option available, being that I didn't speak Japanese very well. The "accessibility" option for disabled guests was only a shower chair that they brought up to the room and placed in the tub. I am a little more able-bodied than most wheelchair users, but still had difficulty getting into the tub (height was an issue). The door to the toilet would not accommodate my walker, too narrow, so I had to collapse my walker to get it into the toilet area. The bidet was dripping the whole time, but it did work, so there's that. The bathroom had a slight smell, kind of a musty smell. The "couch" we put the two chairs together to make a couch, was stained, and very hard to sit on for very long. The Good: The staff was very helpful, and welcoming. The location was VERY convenient. The washer/dryer all in one machine with detergent, the mini fridge, cooktop, dishes, made it worth the stay for the use of these things!

very aged property, very packed lounge area that barely hold the luggage of coming travellers. Room's furniture is clearly well used, the available service inside the room is great, even a washing machine ON THE ROOM was available. Staff is very kind and friendly though!

My room had a faint smell to cigarette smoke although I requested a non-smoking room. There was an air filtering machine in the room that did help. It is conveniently located at a short wall distance from Gotanda station that makes it very well located for trips to Shibuya, Shinjuku and to airports from Shinagawa station that is a 5 minutes train ride.

Super convenient!

Pleasant. Very convenient to subway station. "Jonathan's Restaurant" was a very nice, well priced meals. Included breakfast was great start to the morning. Just realize rooms are 'compact'. Bathrooms are clean but bathtub shower needs upgrading.

This place was located at a very convenient location, and it was a very clean and comfortable property. Self service limited amenities are provided. Breakfast downstairs (Served at Jonathan’s restaurant where you get to choose set menu for hotel guests) was also adequate and sufficient to start the day. They had Japanese style and western style breakfast with unlimited drinks.The train station (subway or JR lines) just minutes away with combini stores next door and across the street. Gotanda station is quieter than other major train stop areas yet just few stops from the major sightseeing locations. While shibuya, harajyuku areas are fun to explore, it was cheaper to shop outside - west of Shinjuku area (like Kichijoji). Having the washing machine and mini kitchen in the room was a plus. Note that the washer/dryer can take up to 5 hrs for a full load because the dryer system in Japanese machines are “gentle” so your cloths are not scorched in high heat.Overall we felt that it was a good value to stay at this property and would recommend others to stay here.

I only stayed here for a night and room was extremely small I guess I’m not use to that and the staff didn’t speak any English which I didn’t like, also they wouldn’t let me use their ph and the one in the room didn’t dial out. The breakfast was not the best and they didn’t let me switch out the egg and substitute it for something else. It wasn’t the hotel for me. The check in staff was nice but the next day no one knew nothing. Very hard to deal w/ guest like that. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Easy access to the subway or to the train line. The hotel is nice and secure with limited housekeeping just when you ask for it. My room has a burner and a small fridge with freezer, they provide two plates, two forks, two plates two cups two mugs, a knife, a cutting board, a pot with lid, a microwave a pair of pasta tongs and a ladle.
