Superior Queen Room lives up to its name

Awesome economy hotel for long stays. Located on a quiet side street (!) just a few blocks south of Shibuya Station, it's a sanctuary from the insanity that makes the area so fun, but the shopping and nightlife are still right around the corner. The in-room washer/dryer was a key feature for our two-week stay, and the price was fantastic considering the amazing location and time of year (we stayed during Golden Week). It's not super glam, but for folks on a budget, it's a perfect option. The room was very small but super functional. Even our huge suitcases slid neatly under the bed, and there is tons of storage everywhere. (Open up those cabinets!) The bathrooms might not look like much, but the shower is surprisingly great with excellent pressure and hot water. The little balcony was great for getting some fresh air, too, although the trains across the street are noisy when the balcony door is open. The trains were much (much!) quieter with the door closed, and not noisy at all in my opinion. I'm from New York, though, so folks used to *complete silence* might not love it. (If that's you, I recommend staying in a less noisy and chaotic neighborhood like Koenji.) The one drawback is that the "Queen" bed is equivalent to a US "Full-size." The mattress was also a bit hard, and so were the pillows. (We managed.) Tokyu Stay is a reliable budget hotel chain with locations all over Tokyo, so even if Shibuya isn't right for you, you can find one just about anywhere you go.

Simple room, terrace was great to get fresh air. It’s a short walk to Shibuya station, but somehow on a quiet street. Washer/dryer also came in clutch! They have detergent for you to use too.

it's cramped. very small for two people (western standards). we had two small check-in luggage; it was very hard for us to even open one without cramping room. ended up storing it under the bed. room was very clean, came with pj's and room sandals. free brewed coffee, and additional toiletries available at the lobby. close to Shibuya station - 6 mins walking distance and also walking distance to Shibuya attractions (shibuya stream, shibuya crossing.

Loved that there was laundry in the room. It was small but most hotels are small in Tokyo and we weren't in the room too much. Walkable to the Shibuya train station and everything to do in that area.
