My stay in Toyoko Inn Tokyo Kanda Akihabara was good. The hotel is a little dated and in theory you are not permitted to stay in your room during five hours of the daytime due to cleaning. The breakfast was decent. The hotel is so conveniently located for transport links that the slight shabbiness did not bother me. I would recommend this hotel for those who intend to enjoy Tokyo and mostly use this hotel for sleeping and as a home base rather than enjoying the hotel on its own.

Breakfast: free with good options. Nearby subway. Friendly, helpful staff. Room a little small and did become stuffy at times. Opening window to relieve this meant room became quite noisy. Had all necessary facilities. Great to have access to washing machine and dryer. Would stay here again. Reasonable price.

Toyoko inn is always my first option when traveling Japan. As always, they are spotless clean, convenient located within 10 mins walk to subway/JR station, sleek check in with kiosk, friendly staff, free breakfast, budget friendly business hotel. Don’t let the price scare you, they are number one budget business hotel in Japan. Rooms are rather small especially in Tokyo area but their amenities to superb.

Good location near both JR line and metro/tokyo subway. Wanted a non smoking room but was placed in smoking room which stank the entire time, even with room windows open. Breakfast is served each morning but if you dont eat meat you will struggle as only rice available. Mattress is very hard, so be prepared if you dont enjoy a very firm mattress. A positive was complimentary items near the front door/desk; including razor, comb, skin care items, toothbrush and paste. Very nice touch. Drinks vending machine in the lobby or mini-mart 2 doors down. There were washing machines/laundry facilities if you needed to wash clothes while there
