Great historic hotel.
Old historic hotel with large room. Coffee shop attached, restaurant across the street. Perfect for 1 night - except for street racer outside at 3AM - no fault of hotel!

The description in the brochure describes the Belvada as a "perfect wedding of modern luxury and classic decor." This could not be more inaccurate. First, the only close parking consisted of three spots on the street in front of the hotel. The person who checked me in shared that vehicles parked there were hit regularly, so guests park in a dark lot a block away. The room was dirty, with splashes and drips on the walls, and stained sheets. None of the switch plates were clean. Fortunately, I brought my own sheets. Although there was plenty of room for one, there was not a comfy chair to sit in. No closet, drawers, or full length mirror. Everything in the room was noisy, including the fridge (which was leaking and smelled bad), the buzzing bedside lamp, and something in the ductwork that roared and squeaked all. night. long. Most of the advertised amenities were across the street at their "sister hotel," the Mitzpah. Extremely disappointing!

The room was disgustingly dirty and looked like they pushed everything under the bed or couch. We found pills and trash and pieces to the coffee machine without even hardly searching

Comfortable little place with character, even if accommodations are a bit smaller than other places for similar costs and the parking behind and in front of the building feels a bit awkward - given the age of the place it's hard to complain. Slept comfortably, this is a fine example of how a place can feel old, antique even, but not run down in the least.

The hotel is beautifully restored and has all the necessary amenities. My only complaint is the room was cold 63* when we arrived. We turned the heat up and went out to eat hoping room would be warm when we returned. Nope.. unbeknownst to us a window had been left open and room temperature was even colder. It was 35* outside. For goodness sake turn on the heat for your guests before they arrive and close the windows. It took the heater two hours to heat the room up. I even turned on the heater in the bathroom to get it warmed up quickler. Unfortunately the room heat has been a problem for us in the past. We have stayed multiple times. Always cold. Probably going to. Different hotel our next trip though.😔

The Belvada hotel was like stepping back in time. Even the view out our window was of historic mining in Tonopah. At the same time everything was updated to modern standards.
