Because of a heat problem in the Mizpah Hotel we were transferred to the Belvada. The Belvada was very nice, roomy, and comfortable.

It’s a really cool old property with a lot of history behind it. Unfortunately, the room we checked into had no hot water. The water barely got warm at all, it was way too cold to actually shower. We complained and they switched us to a different room, in which we had the same problem! We decided it wasn’t worth the hassle of complaing again. Our hotel room was only 58 degrees, we turned the heat on to 70 and it didn’t make a difference. By the following morning, the room was only at 62 degrees. We had to ask for extra blankets. I believe this old property has plumbing and heat issues that they need to figure out. I felt ripped off because it was freezing cold and couldn’t even take a warm shower.

Great history and pet friendly.
It was fairly quiet and nice. There was a ghost tour offered. I wanted to do my own self-guided walkthrough, and staff seemed fine with that. There are plenty of plaques and framed essays explaining the history of the hotel. I did not know any of the history before booking my stay; however, it was a nice surprise. The bartender was very sweet and the check-in staff were great with accommodation. Next time I come through this area, I'll be sure to bring my furbaby as this establishment is SUPER pet friendly.

We loved the Mizpah! The staff was amazing and so friendly. Our first room had a very noisy fan and they immediately switched us to a different room that was wonderful. The hotel very beautiful with original decor. We were also able to take our dog to the bar where we able to enjoy a meal with her there. We will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful old hotel! Aldi’s was friendly and very caring. Joe the chef came out to check on our satisfaction and lingered to chat. Great hospitality.

The staff at front desk (Heidi I believe) was rude and not helpful. When I asked about parking, elevator, etc - she acted as if I bothering her and interrupting her day. The bartender and the tour guide (Jessica - I believe) were amazing and fantastic in answering my questions!

Old fashion and quaint. Hotel was great. Bar was okay. Bar tender made me wait some40 plus minutes for a simple chicken sandwich. I think she forgot , spending most of her time talking to a guy at bar. No apology at all. I finally said something and she rushed to kitchen. Dinner followed sme ten minutes latet.
