The hotel was a little weird. We had an interior, no view room. When we entered the room, I noticed we had a window. When we opened the curtain, we had a “view” of a strange, dark hallway! But, other than that, the staff were friendly and our room was clean.

I purposefully stayed at the hotel because it was close to the party that I was visiting. I wanted to walk to my friend's home. I know that this is more of a city issue, but the lack of sidewalks around the adjacent four way intersection had me walking on grass and over street curbs. The intersection was only open to pedestrian crossing at two out of the four way crossings. A continental breakfast would have been welcomed, especially at the well above average lodging price.

I was disappointed the hot tub was not in service…that was the reason I booked with DoubleTree. Also, there was no cell service, at all, in our room. My alarm did not work and I was late for an appt.
