Searing white lightbulbs that no one who actually lives in a space would ever install, no tissues, no washcloths, no fitted sheet on the bed, comically poorly installed lvp flooring, cheap ikea furniture that is falling apart, landlord special paint job, dirty shower ceiling and public-bathroom-grade paper towels. Some pluses: good location, and surprisingly quiet.

Fantastic experience at the Avalon Suites! We booked a 2-bed/2-baths apt, everything worked out as expected. The suite was clean and very functional. The staff were helpful and responsive. And the location was very convenient, close to subways and restaurants. Would definitely go back!

Locates at downtown and about 5-10min walk to UT and Chinatown. About 40min walk to Eaton centre. Premium area with fancy restaurants and shops. It has its own parking spot but parking is $35/day extra and it's quite complicated if there is nobody lead you. The codo suits has two rooms and two bath. Good for family sharing. There is no reception and you basically check-in online and all done by yourself. Service people contact you by texting and they have working time at daytime only. You can't find any help if it's late. We arrived late and paid $50 late checkin fee and wait until the next morning to get the wifi passcode.

We had a wonderful stay at the Avalon Suites. Communication with the property management team was excellent with very easy check-in and check-out. The location was perfect with great dining options just steps away and with easy access to the subway/transit. We would definitely return.

I've stayed at Avalon Suites Yorkville many times over the years. I used to give it 4 stars but now am downgrading to 3 stars. The building although pleasant superficially, is old and does not feel well maintained. The elevators are glitchy and unpredictable. The garbage chute is permanently non functional. The management solution is to deposit garbage and recyclables in basement which is fine... until you get there and see the place is very dirty and disorganized. Just one large container for all garbage and "recyclables". Also the cleaning of the rooms is suboptimal. The floors are dusty and there is mold growing in shower stalls. The rooms it seems, have had some redecoration but not practical with strange paintings and at least in the room I was in, removal of a work desk replaced with a larger less practical kitchen table. No easy access to plug in a laptop computer.

I do NOT recommend staying at Avalon Suites! The bathroom was in terrible condition The sink drain was barely draining There was barely any water coming out of the bathroom faucet. It took a minimum of 2 flushes to flush the toilet The management offered to fix the sink faucet after we checkout. What good is that? I was told the bathroom had been inspected before we checked in. They need a new inspector! They provided the smallest bar of soap that I have ever seen. It was very difficult to find Avalon Suites even with the “special” instructions Luckily someone was sent to meet us on the street. It was great to have a washer/dryer. The location is excellent Overall it was a very frustrating and time consuming experience trying to get things fixed We won’t be going back.
