The hotel is in an excellent location to explore the city! It is located minutes to Dundas Square and the Eatons Center. It is close to the subway with an easy connection to Union station. The hotel itself has exits onto Gerrard, Bay, and Elm St, so you don't need to go on Young St. if you don't need to. (Young St is busy and dirty!) The area has a lot of nice small restaurants and breakfast places. I didn't need to visit any of the hotel's restaurants. The hotel has an adult-only pool and fitness area. However, parts of these facilities feel too small - change rooms, pool, and hot tub. I suggest using these facilities outside of peak times. My only other complaint is that the elevators are rather slow. If you are staying on the upper floors, expect a wait during the peak check-in and check-out times.
