A friend and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre over NYE. Staff were lovely and the folks doing housekeeping kindly left us extra bottles of water on the morning of Jan 1. The area is very convenient, with College subway station access, a Shoppers Drug Mart, and several restaurants just at the corner. Super convenient and walkable. The only issue I had was that we could hear a fair amount of noise from the street and from the surrounding rooms. The street noise is to be expected given we had a room facing onto Carleton St., but it was a bit annoying to hear all the plumbing start working at 7:30am every morning as well as the doors banging from other rooms. My friend didn't find it a major issue, but lighter sleepers show be aware.

Terrible service and reception hang up on me!
Been to many nice hotels around the globe and this so far this blew my mind away! Stayed after ski trip for two quick nights this hotel is old and need upgrade and on top of that we were given street facing room which was extremely loud. When I got home I found out they had a crazy overcharge on me for no reason and called back two times receptionist didn't even care to hear my request and hang up on me! How rude! Will never stay at this hotel and not recommending.
