This hotel was wonderful. Rooms were very clean, and such attention to detail. Local artwork throughout, we loved the dimmer switches in the room and bathroom. Bed was very comfortable, room stayed cool, room darkening shades. The self parking garage is directly next to the hotel. And across the street is the subway to take you into downtown - it couldn't be more convenient. We did not use the restaurant in the hotel but ate dinner one night at a great Iltalian restaurant just down the block called Mecurio - absolutely delicious pastas, pizza, Caesar salad was great, friendly server named Jill. This hotel had a complimentary wine hour at 5pm each night. Happy to stay here again.

In 40 years of traveling, I have never paid so much for such a mediocre room. Its an old hotel that was fixed up to look good, but done on the cheap. The lobby is small, the room was small and musty smelling, the bathroom was tiny, there was no chair for the desk, there were few outlets, the shower drain was clogged, the fan in the bathroom makes noise and doesn't do anything. You have to request a coffee maker. The people are very nice, but I would not recommend this hotel unless you are getting an excellent rate.

We just returned from a stay at the Kimpton St. George and loved every minute. The location is incredible—steps away from so many cool, walkable neighborhoods with great shops, cafes, and galleries. The vibe is effortlessly chic with beautiful decor, friendly staff, and a calm, welcoming energy throughout. We loved the little touches like spa water, morning coffee, the daily wine hour, and late-night bites and cocktails at the bar. A perfect home base for exploring Toronto!
